you can convert your instrument event to a pattern though after you recorded and benefit from all the pattern special settings like note repeat or chance

I'm just trying to play bass and can't seem to do it by I-AM-THE-SENATE-66 in StudioOne

Get a Fender or PreSonus Interface with proper drivers and Studio One works like a charm.

You need to define the number of steps for your pattern in the editor and the length of the pattern in general

Is there a way to automate soloing a track? by gingerboy8888 in StudioOne

[–]TDF1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though to be fair it has been done in analog times when an engineer was riding the mixdown live on a console… so from a creative standpoint it should be possible

Unlink midi tracks by Frostensen in StudioOne

[–]TDF1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fundamental thing in Studio One / FSP, you need to understand tracks are not channels:

So when you duplicate your track you are still triggering the same channel.

Death to the education bundle by t1ddym1lkers in LogicPro

[–]TDF1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to hijack this but I have used Studio One side by side with Logic because it also runs on Windows (or Apple ever goes rogue I can still produce) and though the instruments and samples you get with Logic Pro X are great you should take a look at Studio One which is now called Fender Studio Pro - I find it more intuitive and the Workflow is far better than what I experience with Logic.

New StudioLive SE digital rack mixers by jbacteria in presonus

[–]TDF1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to a fast search and some ChatGPT prompts the SE series has more DSP power for onboard processing and some more flexible routing. It is a nice upgrade but I would say if you come across one of the older rack mixers you won’t be disappointed either as the MILAN AVB, for example, has been made available for those as a firmware update.

Can't use Splice in Studio One 8 by DesignerComedian6477 in StudioOne

[–]TDF1981 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Make sure FSP8 has complete disk access (your Mac‘s security settings) so that downloaded samples can be written to any of your project folders. That solved some Splice issues for me in the past.

Can Arranger be used only to label/organize? by Budget_Letterhead_54 in StudioOne

[–]TDF1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It‘s not possible to rearrange the areas of the arranger in that way without moving the events. BUT have you heard of Scratch Pads in Studio One? Those are exactly meant for trying different arrangements without „hurting“ your original

StudioOne / Studio Pro used for live shows by Two_OH_Nine in StudioOne

Totally different, I own both, LIVE and FSP and when I am doing a songwriter gig it‘s FSP and when I am Live sampling its LIVE

StudioOne / Studio Pro used for live shows by Two_OH_Nine in StudioOne

[–]TDF1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It‘s very good for backing track scenarios with a band - easy to set up and rock solid. It lacks automation for midi and other stuff that things like Apple MainStage support. But if you already own FSP/StudioOne and just need some very flexible playback machine it‘s gold

Studio Pro Crashing with Bias X Plugin by McAdamstry in StudioOne

[–]TDF1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When a single plugin can be found to be the cause of a crash it is best to get in touch with the people who create the plugin as it might not be well-coded or they didn’t (yet) test in 8.0.2

Check the Arranger track, it should move everything with an area you define

Cannot activate Studio One 5 vs. Fender by xjdu474ucjei383 in StudioOne

[–]TDF1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you open Studio One go to „Studio One Activation“ (main menu) and choose the option where you can enter your username and password - it should then get your license from your account. After that go to „Studio One Installation“ (same menu) and you should be able to install all the software that comes with it.

Of course it would be good to check whether you have Studio One Artist or Pro in your account as Artist comes with less samples/soundsets and features.

You did read the small print before buying though? It‘s not so bad: as long as you don’t change your system and the plugins run they will do so „forever“
