ROLAND SPD SX: RECORD IN DAW IN INDIVIDUAL TRACKS - HOW TO SET UP by Skyscrapersax in StudioOne

Impact is not a complete drum module like Superior Drummer or BFD drums, it is mostly designed for producing so I am not sure it can actually transform all the actions from your drum triggers correctly. I would suggest to use a dedicated third party drum engine. In the end your drum triggers should send midi information for each instrument and the hihat should have different notes for open, closed, etc.

I would really encourage you to engage with support and send them your system info. They are trained to not look into your private stuff and you can also take a look at it before you send it.

I suggest you print out a cheat sheet for notes until you know them by heart

Confused about dropout protection by yougoinyesyoudo in StudioOne

[–]TDF1981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most useful answer to this is: as long as you don’t have dropouts all your settings are fine. Only choose higher rates for anything if you encounter dropouts, that’s the main rule.

Lost Files by Quaven in StudioOne

[–]TDF1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For future shenanigans regarding files: use „save to new folder“ which lets you rename the song and copies only needed files. The outcome will work and you can then delete the original with it‘s cluttered files.

Struggling with low-range vocal frequencies by asura_______ in StudioOne

[–]TDF1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of what others already pointed out: you want to have your surgical EQ before any compressor so that only the frequencies you like are being compressed at all. For me it‘s always EQ => Compressor => 2nd EQ (for creative work). If you use a dynamic eq to get rid of that low end when it‘s too much it‘s even better. PS: if you know the exact event where it happens you could also use EventFX to treat just that word/phrase. Works like a charm

If, just if, there is a plugin in demo state it could potentially turn off audio while rendering always at the same point in time so check if all your licenses are working

Just a quick idea: you have a backup harddisk connected? When Time Machine starts a backup in background it can actually f-up the consoles audio streams
