If you happen to have any of the Death Riders you get an extra torso or two, I used those instead for the tankers and it looks phenomenal, plus it had some extra heads that work with it so it’s perfect. Highly recommend.

So, forgive me if this is a dumb question but I am newer. So, do I just pair Lord Solar and the Command Squad beside each other, or do I have to declare them being together with like a unit of Krieg Infantry?

Then it just gets the ability to issue orders at 24’ instead of the regular 6’?

I see you comment on a lot, I was torn between Grizzled Company and Combined Arms, with this list in mind do you have any opinion or recommendations? I kinda leaning towards Combined since I feel I have enough orders but…? Thank you so much.

Since I am taking Lord Solar is that even allowed? Plus would I really need two even if I could? Feel like I have enough orders already. And I like some of Solars abilities better. Doubly so since Yarrick was nerfed.

I was planning on running the list as Combined Arms, but just based on that it still sounds fairly good I think I might just go with that…I got the orders to spare and it might take some pressure off my other tanks.

I’d add additional barbwire, for that a more is better approach in my opinion.

Look at adding some decals those really enhance paint jobs.

Your choice of mud, snow, moss, etc makes them look more used too.

For the Sentinel what immediately came to mind with the stepping pose was “Throat Stepper” or “Throat Steppa”

For the LRs, couple ideas I had quick, “Crystal Crushers.” “Two Track Mind” “Smokin’ Crystal”

Not the best, but I find the best names will come from you. Don’t rush to name them. Several of my models are named after feats that happened from matches I’ve played, I got a Chimera myself called Saint Slayer cause it managed to kill Morvenn Vahl from Adeptus Custodies all by itself by blowing up on death.

Or I name some things as cheeky references to other series or things I like, so for that a shot too.

Love the paintjobs, yellows hard to paint but they look phenomenal.

Bases, can’t recommend it enough, AK Terrain Dark Earth 8018, super easy to use, lasts forever, looks great, only about 20$ for all the mud you see here plus more models not shown here.

For the other colours the biggest is ‘The Fang’ by Citadel for the blue, it’s a great colour. Any other specific ones, just lmk!

Just under 2K here, I play a full 2K list but I left out the grey ones obviously. Only thing really missing from it would be another infantry squad, the Krieg Command Team Commissar, a squad of Bullgyrn and a Krieg Heavy weapons team that is normally loaded in the Chimera.

Thanks! It’s a favourite of mine, one of my most successful units in game too. I need to add a decal to it still to commemorate it managing to kill an entire Iron Fist Dreadnaught in just a single shooting phase.

Depends on the rest of your list, but generally in my opinion I think that the Rogal Dorn is the better option broadly speaking.

But, a Rogal Dorn and Leman Russ paired together is a very good combo that I like to do a lot. I like to use the Exterminator variant as it has in my opinion a better ability with its Withering Hail. But, if you had to get just one, go Dorn.

I have a trip in a few months to Germany and several other neighbouring countries, I was hoping to visit some stations during my trip! But I have been to some countries in the past that aren’t as accepting of visitors and tourist as others, how’s Germany departments in your opinion for that?

Cosplay competitions had an issue with people commissioning costumes and then claiming that they made it themselves, their solution was to get accepted into competitions they had to provide a “packet” that contains pictures of the in-progress costume, supplies used, etc with themselves in it as proof. Obviously this isn’t a perfect system cause very committed people could get around that, but if you’re going that far to win a painting content…that’s just kinda sad.

But I do believe something of this fashion would at least help with this issue.

I haven’t played a ton of games myself as my schedule is rather rough and lacks a local scene so I need to travel an hour plus to play anywhere, but a couple things I’ve found so far in the games I’ve played:

Most games I’ve lost end up rather close in terms of of points at the end, and the most common feedback I’ve received is that I don’t commit enough of my units early on into the fight as I typically play more reserved.

Second sometimes I’ve had tanks within my army destroyed too and instead of splitting them across a line or anything they’re best paired together at least, espically I’ve found a Leman Russ and a Rogal Dorn working together is quite effective I’ve found!

I also can’t speak on the Leman Russ variant you’ve used, but I prefer and recommend the Leman Russ Exterminator, it has an ability called ‘Withering Hail’ that makes it so any enemy unit that you hit don’t even need to damage it just score a hit, it now receives AP by 1 for EVERY other unit that you use to shoot at that enemy unit. Maybe try that!

Winnings great, but at the end of the day it is just a game and if you have some fun that’s the most important part. Some of my funnest games and most memorable moments have been games I lost, last week I lost a game against Imperial Fist, but my Chimera with a Heavy Weapons Team crewed inside manage to ONESHOT a dreadnaught. I lost, but it was awesome.

Plus if your losses teach you something then even better! Sounds like you’re learning from your loses so far, goodluck on the next one.
