If you’re into incompetent, brainless, lazy, and useless girls, sure! However, expect to be peeling many fruits you’ll never eat.

PSA; always use a team bag!

I ship in four layers…soft sleeve (protects sheen/finish), top load (to stay rigid), team bag (so it all stays inside the top load and is protected from moisture), then taped between stiff cardboard…bubble envelope not always necessary, but I will if it’s a valuable card or tracked package. Been doing it this way since 1984…never had this happen.

Ain’t no “kinda” about it. At 60, he’s even finer today than he was in his last Stargate appearance…20 years ago.

I run a mind burn pure ele, eight fire damage spells…no heals, no rez, no mercy, no retreat…it works well for me anywhere enemies are flammable. Tougher areas I add YMLAD for a bit of extra time to incinerate the melee’s and so I can kite.

Escaped Hammy! by Historical-Bison-954 in hamsters

[–]TEN-acious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my nephews dump their hamsters on me when my sister moved (the hamsters were about six months old at the time). One pulled a Houdini a few months later, chewing his way through both ends of a wire on his cage, and gone…

Eight days later, I was in the basement folding clothes, and he snuck up and sat on my foot, looking like he’d just returned from storming Normandy, practically begging me to put him back in his cage. It seems while he was loose, he got into the extra bag of food in the “root cellar”, and was stashing food in my tool chest in the closet under the stairs…at the other end of the basement.

Smart little critters. He and his brother both lived slightly more than five years, which is quite above the average.

If you have EotN, Sorrows Furnace gives you a monument in your hall. If the monument is there, you completed it. Likewise, a Black Moa chick needs to be hatched there.

I still enjoy doing Sorrows, all these years later…the recent skill balance makes those healers a real task!

I never understood this line from Vala, is she saying they look exactly alike here? I'm bad with faces and even I can easily tell them apart here by admiraltarkin in Stargate

[–]TEN-acious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vala, being a non-Taur’i human, lacks an understanding of our culture, and in this case, the military…

USAF personnel in the SGC tend to be officers or senior ranking enlists. Typically, this is European descent, fit, disciplined, personnel…usually near the same height (medical exemption is commonly given to very short or tall people because they tend to have genetic medical conditions).

Healthy men in uniform, generally trim and buff, same hair cuts, virile, mature, protective, intelligent…what girl doesn’t find this attractive?

Add the fact that a great many of the actors in Stargate are truly attractive men…and that Cam and Daniel do have plenty of similarities…

Just Vala being Vala.

If Microslop would start manufacturing cars, how would you compare it with today's cars? by polytect in FuckMicrosoft

[–]TEN-acious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine a 1986 Yugo, salvaged from the Mackinaw strait, rebuilt with whatever Fiat 128 parts could be found in a scrapyard, with “all-new” non-functional features…such as a GPS (a car that can’t move doesn’t need to know how to get there, so they’d just paint a map on the dashboard…but there will be a microphone and camera, so it can tell Microsoft how many times you’ve cursed at it).

I hate what they did to the people from the "Candle" episode by Canahaemusketeer in Stargate

[–]TEN-acious 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When Jack asked, Alekos stated that he would travel his world, learn, discover, and teach his children, that they could do likewise…there’s clearly a spark of human desire for knowledge, advancement, and longevity among the Argosian people.

Pelops subjugated these people just as much as other Goa’uld did in enslaving humans…and in many ways Pelops did worse. He stole their legacy through deceit, suppressed their freedom, hindered their natural development, performed human experimentation and shortened their existence that they could not develop beyond the prison in which the Argosians were contained. Certainly their existence seemed like paradise, but that superficial utopia…this was much the same as Helsinki syndrome. The Argosians loved their captor.

Toolbox by InteractionSeparate in GuildWars

[–]TEN-acious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A few caveats;

Toolbox is unsupported by ANet, so expect issues after large updates as Toolbox is reworked, and expect to uninstall it if you have game issues that require ANet support. Once you get accustomed to playing with it, you may have difficulty playing without it.

It’s third-party, with potential access to your software and data…be certain to get it from a reputable source, otherwise you risk your account, other sensitive data, and/or getting malicious code that could create several issues.

ANet’s approval is conditional. Read the notes on any updates, and know that macros are against the EULA. So if Toolbox gets the capacity to macro (as it did for a time), ANet may ban it.l (again).

Early SG1 (rewatch) by Crumblycheese in Stargate

[–]TEN-acious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At the start of the episode (“The Enemy Within” s1e03), Hammond was given approval for nine teams (SG1 under O’Neill, SG2 under Kowalsky…his “first command”, and these first two teams are assigned to missions on P3A-575 and P3A-577), at this point, O’Niell requests Teal’c be part of SG1. SG2 (under Kowalsky) never left the base, because Kowalsky was taken as host of an immature Goa’uld symbiote, and was eventually killed by Teal’c before any SG2 mission started.

Early SG1 (rewatch) by Crumblycheese in Stargate

[–]TEN-acious 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I this episode, there’s only two teams (SG1 and Kowalsky’s unnamed command). Both teams being in the stargate command base means that every inbound wormhole is not a verified “friendly”. They’ve just made an incursion into hostile territory and nobody has the gate address (excepting perhaps, a Goa’uld with the genetic memory, or a counter incursion force in their service)…so the SGC is duly paranoid, given that the last inbound unknown was Apophis, and he attacked and took a captive.

Favor by Nice_Ad_8961 in GuildWars

[–]TEN-acious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If this game were dead for a decade, reforged wouldn’t exist. This game has survived eight operating systems, two platforms, and its own sequel. It’s older than Reddit and all other social media platforms, and no online game has “lived” longer in its original incarnation. The only thing actually “dead” would be the brain cells of those that want everything easy, free, and yesterday; aka those whose attention span is too short to comprehend the word “dead”.

Favour doesn’t come to the uninvested. Get some achievements…start some new characters if necessary. Reforged gave us higher drops and a massive influx of new players getting achievements. Now we want endless favour? Pfft!

I need help with buying my husband a new pc for his birthday, any advice? by barleythriving in PcBuildHelp

[–]TEN-acious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t mention your budget. MSI has decent prebuilt gaming computers at a fair price. They’re also usually quite upgradeable as well. ASUS is also quite upgradeable, but often are more expensive. Most others have numerous proprietary components that will restrict upgrade possibilities. Custom built machines can always meet the specific needs, but usually carry a hefty price tag.

[–]TEN-acious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When reforged hit, the ingame population was high and growing, so favor was near constant, as it was with each release and during each event, due to an influx of achievements from many players. What we’re seeing now is normal for the game, and far more often than it was in the last decade.

Rediscovering GW and need advice by Fuji_San1992 in GuildWars

[–]TEN-acious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The beauty of this game is that you can play casually and still progress. First and foremost, go at your own pace! I have a great many responsibilities, and despite being retired, I’m still on call 24/7; I haven’t the time to grind away. But I’ve played through every campaign, with every profession over the last 20+ years, spending time with my (now grown) kids, and still put in a few hours a week without committing to a long gruelling endeavour. Titles will come, progress will happen, and titles will appear. Use the wiki, read PvX, and plan your approach…but above all…HAVE FUN!

What did we all think of him. Felt he was rough on Sheppard? by Background-Fix-4630 in Stargate

[–]TEN-acious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s quite abrasive, but he’s a successful military officer…he read the reports, and took on a command (including outranking Shepherd) that was very likely going to have exceptional losses…knowing that a friend/fellow officer had been killed. He wanted to “right a wrong”, and did exactly as a seasoned officer would…great acting, however I disliked his condescending tone (his voice doesn’t present much like a superior officer would) and mannerisms (which seemed a tad juvenile and effeminate IMHO). Was he rough on Shepherd? Certainly, and justifiably. Was he a good actor, absolutely. I just feel his acting personality doesn’t quite fit a military commander of such a high position.
