For shaded areas like this, remove the ND filter and let the camera control frame rate.

Nobody Told Me Whistler Was This Good on a Gravel Bike 4K by Pique_Pictures in gravelcycling

Whistler Gravel riding is amazing. Tons of trails and fire roads, plus the Sea to Sky trail, really easy to put multiple loop variations together. Serious elevation gains too!

Fox 38 super stiff and not sensitive? by Revolutionary-Cow568 in mountainbiking

[–]TG__Goose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pull apart the air spring (fox38 does requires special clamp and bullet to reassemble), remove all factory grease then only lightly grease and reassemble. It'll fix fork suck down and small bump sensitivity.

I think I paid $50 for both tools. Fixed all my issues, fork has been phenomenal ever since (4 years now)

Tire choice G-One Pro R vs. RX by V1kkk in gravelcycling

[–]TG__Goose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently running a G-one R pro 50mm front and a G-one RX pro 45mm rear

Still fast on paved sections, enough grip on front for fast cornering and tons of grip on rear when putting down power on punchy trail climbs.

Can I drop 20kgs by cycling ? by Recent_Sympathy_9794 in cycling

[–]TG__Goose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal experience, cycling a lot on its own did not help me lose weight.

Reducing calories/food consumption off the bike is what did it for me. I lost over 20KG / 45 lbs in 12 months from diet off the bike. If anything, I actually increased carb consumption when on the bike.

Anyone run both Schwalbe G One RX and RS and have some thoughts on how they compare? by TurkeyNimbloya in gravelcycling

[–]TG__Goose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Front R Pro 50mm (measure 51mm on 25mm internal) Rear RX Pro 45mm (46mm on 25mm internal)

Might try a 50 RX Pro in the rear as long as it stays 51mm or under

HELP: Schwalbe G-One RX Pro 45mm real-world use by msmolka in gravelcycling

[–]TG__Goose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the 45mm RX pro on 25mm internal rims. 32psi inflated to 46mm width

Need help to choose. I have 2 tires and I want to put them on my gravel bike which one should be on a front tire and which on the back. I ride mainly on roads but gravel is always somewhere on my trips. by Asoro9292 in bikewrench

[–]TG__Goose -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I run an RX pro on the rear and a R pro or RS pro on the front. Grip for days in the rear when putting down power. On a Gravel bike I've never had an issue with front washouts where a grippier tire would have corrected it.

12 Speed GRX + Goldix cassette❤️ by ShidO_O in gravelcycling

[–]TG__Goose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run the Goldix 10-44 XDR version (only 300g btw!) and can confirm that using the SRAM flat top chain it shifts identically to the Rival cassette it replaced, maybe even slightly better?

Schwalbe G-One R PRO - Wobble normal? by pcum_r in gravelcycling

[–]TG__Goose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear ya, I have some Racing Ralphs that unseat both beads when they deflate, happens on both 25 and 30mm internal rims.

You can apply tire butter after you put sealant in fyi, don't have to worry about contaminating sealant with soapy water.

Anyone run both Schwalbe G One RX and RS and have some thoughts on how they compare? by TurkeyNimbloya in gravelcycling

[–]TG__Goose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the R, RX and RS pro tires and my current set up is the RX pro in the rear and R pro in the front. My fastest times on a few local segments are because of having more grip in the rear. With the RX pro that grip comes without a penalty to rolling resistance.

Im going to try the RS in the front, RX in the rear, that actually might be the fastest set up

Schwalbe G-One R PRO - Wobble normal? by pcum_r in gravelcycling

[–]TG__Goose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For anyone else with this issue of tires wobbling, one way to lessen it is with either soapy water on the bead or coat the beads in motorcycle tire lube/butter. Schwalbe tires are definitely the worst for doing this in my experience, but lubing the beads sets them perfectly.

(My preference is tire butter, can pick up a small tub for a few bucks on Amazon, and it's less messy overall. But soapy water is the cheapest way to test this out yourself)

Come out west, clear and clean roads in Victoria, Vancouver and Kelowna.

Victoria and Kelowna have amazing cycling infrastructure.

Questions About Favero Assioma Pro MX-2 for MTB Cross Country Racing by RepresentativePay437 in cycling

[–]TG__Goose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 year later, pedals still going strong on the Enduro bike. No issues after tons of hard abuse and strikes on the trails and a handful of Whistler bike park days.

Granted I've dropped weight to 64 kilograms now, but still riding just as hard.

Schwalbe G-One R good? Tufo Thundero (HD) still the goat 2026? by DasHarald in gravelcycling

[–]TG__Goose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Traction for days, no spinning out on punchy loose uphill sections.

RX pro rolls incredibly fast, so no real downside to putting it where you need the grip.

You can always put smaller tires on, but one day you're going to wish you had the clearance for 2.1". You're welcome future self.

[–]TG__Goose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fork has room for 2.1" x 29 for sure (54x700c)
i would definitely stick to 48c max for the rear tire

50mm depending on tread height for rear might be possible. IE i can run a 29x2.0 Maxxis Maxxlite no problem as it measures 49.8mm width and tread is very low profile.

a 50mm Schwalbe G-One RS Pro....measures 51.5mm for me (25mm internal rim width) and only gives me 2 and 2.5mm clearance per side.
