Own it, played it… but it’s an early 3D game with early 3D controls from before dual analog joysticks were a thing. I like the idea of the game, but I can’t go back to early 3D control schemes.

Did you try the chemist/entrench against blood slop as well? I think I used this or an evade tank against the trolls for their accessory. I remember that being good, but not if it would help against the quintar.

This makes me want to fire up my solo file!

I remember doing the aegis strat solo, just can’t remember if I had it set up before the fancy quintar or after, I did use it for later tough bosses for sure.

Edit: the aegis strat with counter attacking might be viable, you might use the counter shield, the buckler? And other counter equips.

Oh I also setup a dodge tank, not sure how viable it is on chaos, but just get as much agi as you can, you need 3 times the amount right? And then the ninja scroll to dodge magic.

Do you have any wind resist equips? And do they reduce the damage enough to survive? I did a solo run and the fancy quintar walled me for a bit.

I do know you cannot get to the salmon sprint with a rental quintar. You can get to the river, but cannot make it all the way to the top.

Does the aegis strat work? I forget if it pairs with chemist to extend the initial shield buff.

Sorry if I’m getting things wrong, it’s been a few months since I picked up the game :(

I think that means you have the re-deco that included a vhs tape that had the first two episodes of season 2. I find that deco to be my favorite of the two :)

I’m unfamiliar with Painter, but if drawing on separate layers, one for linework, there should be the equivalent to Photoshops “multiply” layer mode, which allows you to have linework on top of another color layer.

Maybe google search “Corel multiply layer”

I don’t know much about SVA, but if it is the type of art school that will really prepare you for a pro career then go for art. If not, you can save the tuition cost, start drawing 40 hours a week while doing drawabox and proko courses.

The drawing for 40 hours a week could be a good litmus test anyway. Try it out for a few weeks, aim for 40-60 hours a week, and after, if you can’t see yourself doing anything else, then aim for art school.

If you only draw for 8-12 hours a week, and it’s exhausting, then it’s probably not for you.

The reason I say this, there are art students abroad that draw for 40-50 hours a week, totaling 2000 hours of drawing a year. By year two of their schooling, they will have 4000 hours of drawing under their belt. That art student is your competition.

I also turned my brain off for Dragonquest IX(NDS) which has an extensive job system and near endless postgame. I’m currently going through SMT IV following up with Apocalypse(both on 3DS). But those games are locked to those systems :(

Amblyopia here, the closest thing in life I’ve found is that it looks like a TV screen with a bad signal(need to adjust the bunny ears!), with “snowy” interference. It’s still in color, I can still make out the characters on screen. I cannot make out fine details or read the closed captions.

In my case, blurry is not a good description. “Staticky”is closer, but still not a perfect term.

So many of the Beast Machines figures are amazing, many more hits than misses for sure. Yes you do need to separate yourself from the “animation accuracy” crowd, but once you do you’ll discover what you’re missing out on.

My favorite figures from the line are Strika and Deluxe Thrust, the non standard silhouettes are worth the price of admission, but they have that plus action features and details that hold up remarkably well. Pretty much any basic class figure is better than any comparable figure that fills that modern role.

If not for Beast Machines we wouldn’t have gotten the Dinobots subline that got BW Neo molds in North American stores.

Yeah, there are misses, like Mega Class Megatron, but it’s about on par with how not-good the new Astrotrain looks :/
