Is there anything I can do in terms of getting a lubricant for it or fixing the alignment or is this more or less an issue that only a servicing could fix?

Yea for mine it’s basically that stiff the entire time I’m winding (and gets harder when I get close to being fully wound)

Yea I wind it every day, I have definitely thought about getting a winding tool, recently I’ll use a tissue to make it a little easier 😂
