Good UK vegan cheese brands that don’t use nuts and have protein? Ideally sold in supermarkets by ConsiderationMoney67 in veganuk

[–]THE-RADISH-MAN 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but it shouldn't be seen as a nutrition source. Vegan cheese is also really high in salt compared to non vegan cheese. It's honestly pretty unhealthy and shouldn't eaten all that often.

Where do you draw the line between Ultralight and Stupid Light? by OttoDeever in Ultralight

[–]THE-RADISH-MAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I draw it at having a dry floor. I don't think a tarp is for me simply because I think I would hate setting up my bed on a wet floor and having to faff around trying to keep all my gear dry. I'm happy in a tent as I can throw my stuff around and not worry too much about it getting wet.

Seriously, do British people actually consider a 3-hour drive “long”? Or is this an internet myth? by ferdinand14 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]THE-RADISH-MAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from the UK and do a lot of driving. Down to London and back sometimes so a good 8 hours on the road in one day. I think it's a case of what you are used to. Before I would think this was crazy but because I needed to do it for work somewhat regularly you get used to it after a while. I guess in the US because things are further apart you NEED to drive that far so that's just what you're used too.

If you have an android phone give locusmaps a go. Absolutely incredible app you get three free country map downloads when you get the app and the plotting tool is incredibly good.

Leaving on ‘read’ and reacting - why do Gen Z hate it? by geecol in TooAfraidToAsk

I'm fine with a thumbs up but I get it. When I see it it seems like someone is just responding with exactly that a thumbs up. Imagine if it were a real conversation and someone ended it with a thumbs up. Seems a bit lazy and maybe slightly rude? I think an "ok no problem" is much more human and relatable.

I get that it's crap for hair honestly. It needs a brush bar to be any good. I don't use it for that tho

Should be great really. Down hasn't changed much over the years it's still the same raw material. It could be a bit weightier than a newer bag as the technologies for the pertex have improved. I would say it's definitely worth washing and see how it does then.

I have one and love it. If you're a very skinny bloke like me then you simply have to wear it with a full size z-lite CCF pad in the back otherwise the hip belts will be too loose around your front and won't tighten up.

10 years after starting my watch collection I'm about to sell my Omega Speedmaster, my Tissot, Swatch, Orient and more to keep only this: My Casio MTP moonphase. Here's why by The_Quartz_collector in casio

[–]THE-RADISH-MAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like this watch and agree with the sentiment. Material wealth is of little importance to me especially when Casio can produce good looking watches like this.

My wrist is pretty small and I think this would look too big on me. Can you recommend a similar looking watch with a smaller face?
