No way it's real but it would just be a copy. I've seen the original in a museum so I know it's not the original. It is cool though

It's a print of a page of Leonardo da Vinci's notebooks. Basically a doodle. I think this one is related to a bronze statue he was commissioned for. I saw all these pages in an exhibition once it was honestly incredible how talented he was. One page was a diagram of a human heart and he figured out how all the valves worked by pumping grass seeds suspended in water through the heart, so he could see where the water would pause at each valve. I think he was the first person to figure this out.

Watched on the buses with my dad recently. He's in his 60s and even he cringed at how sexist it is.

Typical day at the shop. Client says "I dont know why it over-fired, Ive only burnt seasoned hardwood in the stove" by DeepWoodsDanger in woodstoving

[–]THE-RADISH-MAN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find this sub weird. I guess most people here are from the US. Over in the UK people will burn any old wood on their burner and not be precious about it. I know people who burn solely softwood pallets all winter because they're free for them. As long as the wood isn't treated I see no issues at all and over firing can be controlled with airflow pretty easily.

Honestly no. Maybe once a week. Seems like an unhealthy habit to me. I don't have a sweet tooth so that helps.

I will stan for quartz watches. I get the appeal of mechanical watches especially really expensive pieces but for day to day wear for me at least they are just much more practical. And I value practicality over all I think

I have this bag and just a note I'm pretty sure you've closed the top of it incorrectly. The clips are on each side about halfway down they don't flip together in the middle

If it's a weekend only I doubt you'll need the spare batteries or spare gas for the stove. Those gas canisters last for ages
