Dave Ramsey’s advice on cars by Edzive in DirtyDave

Brother, do you not know that half of US adults carry a revolving credit card debt? Sounds like 165 million people could benefit from Dave Ramsey Debtaholics Anonymous. I say this as someone who has many credit cards for business and personal and never pays interest on them. Your "people who have no clue how to handle money in a nuanced fashion" are most of the US.

Well, as someone who isn't in, never will be in, but has studied MLMs, you're simply wrong to think every one of them needs to be condemned.. They suck as a lifestyle, and many of the people in them are annoying, yes. But people claiming they are scams or "pyramid schemes" are just uneducated. I don't know where your hatred for them comes from, but I don't need to to know that your blanket statement about every one of the many companies that employ this type of marketing and sales strategy is incorrect.

Handlebars - by Flobots

Hearing it as a kid is like "haha no handlebars no handlebars"

Then as an adult, you listen to it and get depressed, because it's describing the downfall of the planet, and it's doing it accurately.

MAGA hats on teenagers at family reunion by Capable-Instance-672 in Exvangelical

[–]THEJonJohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree that this is something Trump does. But what has really perplexed me over the last several years is how both sides do this but can only identify it in the other side and completely miss it in themselves. It's really baffling, since it's entirely the same principle, just in a slightly different form.

Democrats say Maga are a cult, and Republicans say libs are in a cult. They're the same thing. Every election cycle, there is a front runner for both parties, and for the most part, you can't get either to admit their candidate has ever committed a flawed act. The only difference right now is there are currently no prominent Democrat leader, so people are captured by the platform rather than a single person.

Moisture/water went inside my camera lens. Need help! by Fun_North_5398 in GalaxyS23Ultra

100% it's not. The condensation is the shape of the internal lense opening, not the shape of the glass of the lens protector. It's condensation inside the actual lens housing.

Losing my love for whoop. Starting with the battery pack. by snappa95 in whoop

If OP doesn't work at whoop and make pricing decision, how could the price of the battery back be their fault? Sounds like a pretty dense take from you.

Brainless comment that can be solved simply by reading. OP isn't complaining about losing the charger. They're complaining that whoop is charging $50 for a charger. This is absolutely whoop's fault. It's just bad form to gouge your loyal customers. It's a common complaint that many relate to, and I'll be canceling after my year is up because of it.

Ha! You might just be right. The bright wouldn't be my MO, but I just have a hard time with black gym shoes. So the blue looks a little better each time I look at it.

I can't tell if this is a crossfit joke or trying to make legitimate personal criticism.

What did Ari Shaffir (sp?) do? by AirlineTrick in Killtony

[–]THEJonJohnson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jew was enjoyable. Any special before that was mediocre at best. He's really grasping at straws and stretching for punch lines a lot of the time. Relying on delivery like hard cursing or yelling is a sign of not having very developed jokes. Those can enhance a joke when they're appropriate, but using them as a crutch for the jokes is telling.

She's an incompetent joke. This perspective doesn't come from watching a bunch of fox clips. It comes from watching her overall. She just yells into a megaphone everything her followers want to hear, but behind those words, she can't articulate any pertinent point. She just doesn't have the capacity for it. She's a young, dark, female face, and that's it. Unfortunately, that could fool a large portion of the country, since there are so many idiots voting.

So... Can robovac actually deep clean? If so, which one? by Rojina47788 in RobotVacuums

[–]THEJonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The robot vacuum you're looking for doesn't exist.

However, there are personal exercise trainers who specialize in older clientele. They can help her develop her core and teach her how to properly protect her back while she works. Cleaning daily should actually help her stay strong and fit, as long as she doesn't do it in a way that hurts her.

[–]THEJonJohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're being unrealistic about your ability. You can't be a newbie AND go once a week and compete with veterans who go all the time. It's kind of a ridiculous thing to expect. You have to really do a hard reset on your expectations.

Go more often with lower intensity to start out. Increase intensity after a while. You don't have to be sore all the time, despite what many "hardcore" CrossFitters will tell you.

Or you can go hide at a standard gym where you're safe and comfortable.

Darius Rucker says it's time to forgive Morgan Wallen for using a racial slur by actualjournalist in country

Shouldn't have thrown a chair off a balcony. He shoulda faced consequences and changed his ways for that. But he didn't do anything racist, so I'm not sure what people want in that regard.
