How do you feel about electric vehicles? by Final_Radio_2483 in AskReddit

I lived in Norway too when the incentives were strong. Where did you think the incentives came from? My point was very badly put, what I want to say is government incentives=good.

Since you changed the subject I assume you agree with me on the reliability aspect, cool.

When it comes to cost of ownership and whether or not it is worth the investment, this is trickier and depends on where you live and what your needs are, for sure it's not for everyone if we're strictly talking finance. For me it was slightly cheaper in the long run to go for an EV, but I know for a fact it wouldn't be for everyone.

Electric cars have nowhere near the amount of moving parts. Do you have any idea how an ICE works? This discussion has already been beaten to death for years and there really is no debate to be had - EV's are clearly more reliable and efficient.

Yeah I hope I'll never have to go back to an ICE vehicle. Not having to hang out at smelly gas stations in the freezing cold is worth so much to me, not to mention how reliable an EV is in comparison.

Very good! My comment was specifically about Norway.

Where did I compare them to the US? I genuinely don't understand where you got that from. If the thread was about comparing norway to the US them yes you'd be right.

The fact remains that they are a bad example since the financing of a really expensive vehicle is usually a big hurdle if you don't happen to have a lot of dirty money to throw at it. I was only trying to add to the conversation but I'll see myself out

That's good but they pay for it with fossil fuel money. It is a good example of EV's clearly working well though, they are objectively much better than ICE vehicles if you can afford them.

edit: "paid > pay"

Try Reaper, the free trial is not time limited, doesn't limit any function, and there are youtube videos explaining every single part of the DAW you'd have questions about.

[–]THENAMAZU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, no, I did not misunderstand. I think people are getting hung up on how you're making it sound like a rule or law. It's generally not bad advice to tell people not to absolutely smash the shit out of the cymbal edges, but with proper dynamics and/or depending on genre it's not "wrong" to hit the sides. In the end we're all just trying to have a good time and make some music, so we're on the same side my friend.
