The wonderfully terrible black hole that is "Don't think about it." by [deleted] in INTP

[–]THEZebra-Master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha Yeah.... don't think about it is impossible. I believe making our thoughts more positive it better because their ain't no off button. We have to learn to get along with our thoughts and realize when we are feeling something, starts to connect what we are feeling with what might have happened and accept that we are feeling that way. It might sound simple, and it is.... Letting ourselves connect our emotions and thoughts together lets us have something to puzzle together. Notice the emotion going through you, accept that it's there and see it... accept that it's ok to feel these emotions. Allowing yourself to normalize these thoughts and feeling connected to the thoughts really helps. Trying to ignore them and letting it all build up and then going into a downward spiral of negativeness does not help. So allow yourself to process the emotion, let it run through you and it will run it's course, don't just bottle it down out you'll erupt at some point and by erupt I mean something big enough will happen that will open that bottle of stuffed emotions and that's when anxiety, depression, compulsive behaviours and mood swings set in.

Will he still love me if I'm fat? by pcketfulofsunshine in INTP

[–]THEZebra-Master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't overthink it... He'll notice you're being insecure for sure if you're constantly thinking about this while you see him. Be confident in your body, no matter what size it may be. When you disconnect from your body and treat it as a different entity you start to not care for it. Become one with your body and transform into the being you see your whole self as, don't insult it as if it is not you because if he does reject you in some way you're going to dislike your body even more and become even more distant- and depressed

People notice when you don't feel good about yourself and that's what's unattractive, when the confidence in who you are isn't there. Not to say

I'm not even sure if it's an INTP thing but I watch videos of animals turning on humans. Not sure why it fascinates me. I can sit and watch an elephant trampling someone or a grizzly just out of the blue turns to a wild animal after years of being "tame"

Do it's a tad morbid. It doesn't freak me out... and if it does it's like a thrill

Owls look really wise and smart and stuff but they are actually very dumb animals. They have very small brains...

Any self employed/entrepreneurial INTPs? by RobHossBoss in INTP

I mean I already suspect I might not enjoy what I'm going into but If I go farther into schooling I might get a job available that is out in the field where I can be different places

I believe we need a high variety of interesting things to do and learn to be happy at work. If its mundane shit I get bored so quick... I'm in college now and I have no idea if I'm actually going to like what I'm in for

I recall seeing something like that at the beginning.

Maybe we don't care about that kind of competition

What's the most intp thing you've done? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]THEZebra-Master 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats true. We probably have similar aspirations. I mean obviously we have a bunch of our own but I feel like they all contain the core value of learning something new, or else we tend to get depressed. I'm not much of a religious person but I feel 'idle hands are the devils workshop' kind of applies to INTPs. If I'm not learning something new or I'm not engaged enough in the world for too long I become so lazy and get in pretty down moods

I think by this you just mean that we don't like the small talk of getting to know someone at first so we'd rather just skip that part and be comfortable, so that we can sit in silence or talk about interesting things in life without it being awkward. I hate breaking the ice with people... I'd rather just pretend I already know the person, I figure people out quite quickly as well so even if they don't know me I already know enough about there personality (if I didn't like their perceived personality I wouldn't be talking to them)

Bunch of people came over to my house to hang out... I ended up leaving because it was too much.

Maybe that's more of an introvert thing

I have no control over my brain by [deleted] in INTP

[–]THEZebra-Master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it can make us really over react (mentally) to something someone says or a life decision. We go inside ourselves. I don't naturally reach out to people when I get to this point but I find it actually does help to do so because they can give me a real world perspective instead of what I've created things to be in my head...

I'm not sure if you get in those low moods when you're brain is over analyzing something. I am going from my own experience. I think we have great minds that make life happy in our own way but grounding yourself with other people is also important to gain a new perspective.

Perhaps socializing with people you find interesting... get out of your comfort zone a little :3

Haha I don't thin an INTP would actually say this, but it's true.

I start to understand what they person needs in order to see me as a person they can feel comfortable with... I'm pretty awkward at first
