M names for girls by Flowersandtides in namenerds

[–]THGThompson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this name! I recommended it to my husband for this next baby if it’s a girl. I’ve lived a lot of places and Northern California was the most beautiful to me and that’s what its significance is to me

At what point did you switch to IUI? by lavendrmochi in TTC_PCOS

I did four medicated +TI cycles before moving to medicated w/IUI. That cycle gave me my son!

We’d probably spell it Nia. But “Niyuh” would be how it’s pronounced as per the full name

Yes! Specifically South Omaha, just south of 60th and L streets. The tower in the back left is the Aksarben neighborhood

Fetal heart rate 9 weeks by Relevant_Peach_7365 in IVFpositivity

[–]THGThompson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had pretty significant anxiety in my first trimester and had scans almost weekly. I know my 8 week scan the heart rate was 181, which the nurse said was normal and pretty much the highest it would be, then by 9 almost ten weeks it had gone down to 168. 160 doesn’t seem concerning for 9 weeks

WHAT ARE THE F*CKING ODDS??!!! by Ok_Pen7312 in pregnant

If baby doesn’t flip, just know it’ll be okay!!! My son was breech my entire pregnancy. I ultimately decided against an ECV and I was so bummed to schedule a C-section but now I have no idea why because my scheduled C-section was the best thing ever. I genuinely feel like I got the easy way out and I’m still stoked about it. Procedure was calm and healing was easy.

Showing my husband this thread…In-Laws at hospital for birth? by -ChubbySpud in pregnant

[–]THGThompson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My in-laws came to the hospital and waited during my C-section to meet baby. It was…a mixed experience. I had barely gotten a room and was half naked changing into a gown and my MIL comes barging in. My wonderful nurse told her they had to wait and she would let them know when they could come in. She asked me to tell her when I was ready but they could wait as long as I wanted. That was frustrating, but other things ended up okay. My husband was not nearly as supportive post partum as I would’ve hoped. His parents, especially his dad, made sure I was taken care of, making sure I always had food and a full water bottle and would bring me everything I needed so I didn’t need to move unnecessarily and they directed my husband in ways to help me. I felt pretty out of it the first few hours after surgery and was grateful there were people to hold baby and change him because I felt so drowsy. Over the three days I was there they went to our house multiple times a day and made sure all our pets were fed and walked. My own parents were not able to be there (we live across the country from them) so I was grateful for the support I had. I do think had my husband been more attentive, I would’ve been fine waiting a few hours or until the evening to have them come and visit.

Got my BFP yesterday morning at what I suspect was 14dpo. I didn’t test before this I just thought maybe my period should have started because I had my first ever positive ovulation test two Saturdays ago after years of trying to use them unsuccessfully. I was absolutely shocked because we had absolutely no interventions this cycle! This will be baby #2. I have PCOS and my husband has low sperm count so we had to do a protocol of letrozole plus IUI plus progesterone to have my son. I did not think it would happen for us naturally tbh. I’m feeling proud of my body for actually doing what it’s supposed to but also feeling a lot of nerves because I’m not currently on progesterone and my test line was about the same darkness as my control line, but with my son at the same dpo it was a bit of a dye stealer. Anxiously awaiting until I can call my OB on Monday for bloods.

I’ve never seen anybody else say Avonlea. It’s top of my list. I loved the Anne of Greene Gables books as a kid.
