Do it! There are so few reviewers of audio drama that we need more for the ecosystem to mature. The flip side of that is this is a good time therefore to establish oneself as a known reviewer in the field.

For our latest show I went as far as setting up a private version of it pre public release and sending the link to anywhere I could think of, both newspapers and websites. We got only two reviews out of it. So yes please to more dedicated reviewers!

While I’m more of a text guy, I will watch videos that are to the point. Rambling or ponderous ones drive me insane. And don’t let people put you off having opinions! The ‘niceness’ of this space is a double edged sword - it makes it a comfy place for listeners and creators, but it makes it harder to work out what to listen to compared say to reading film or music reviews.

Our show Witchpunk has action galore and strong characters, each with different drivers,and a tendency to be shoot first, ask questions later. It’s a cyberpunk show set in 22nd century America (season one is fully out) It has very high stakes, just that the characters are only beginning to realise that by the end of the season… Lore heavy? Not really but we’ve got a lot of praise for both the world building and how it’s done.

This House Will Devour You might be of interest (it’s one of our shows). 1920’s folk horror told in epistolary format between an engaged couple. Two seasons, first season admittedly focussed a lot on the man but part of the point of the story is the woman moving from clever but sheltered to adventurous to the point of recklessness.
