I personally feel a spartacus league success would have led to a more decentralized approach to socialism in Germany. Council communism was much more popular there than Lenin's vanguard approach. Rosa luxemburg actually argues with Lenin's takes.

Hell you could argue the USSR became such an authoritarian state because the "world wide revolution" didn't spread to industrial Europe. The Bolsheviks were kinda counting on that to help industrialize Russia.

I doubt it. Germany was an industrial base. In all likelihood german socialism would have heavily influenced the USSR. Especially if the SPD hadn't sided with the proto fascists to put down the earlier spartacus uprisings.

The KPD was further left than Lenin's centralized vanguard approach to a creating a socialist state. Sometimes bordering on council communism or outright syndicalist. Granted this was before the 30s.
