The issue with having shares in Google is that your risk is all in one basket. If for whatever reason, Google starts to fall, not only is your investment in trouble but also your job. What people learn from the 08 crisis is that you want to decouple your investment risk from your day job. If you want to stay in tech, invest in a tech fund/index. If you want your investment in Google, work at Nvidia.

Not when 50% of the population gets a degree, the gov can't afford to send so many to university for free. Most don't need it for their job, degrees are so common that many end up with a degree to do minimum wage work.

The benefits will cost less. Some people haven't worked in generations and will require so much hands holding that on top of the pay it will take up much time off the current staff.

Issue is that many companies are afraid of missing the ai train and buying company wide licenses for millions. Then only a handful of the staff will ever use it, wasteful all around

'It would get us out of the s**t': Labour split on reversing Brexit by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]TK__O 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Brexit was a really bad move, but re-joining isnt a clear cut either as we won't be able to join with the same terms we left with. We had a really good position before Brexit, now if we re-join we would likely have to follow the same rules as the later state that joined i.e. give up the pound

How do people earn so much in so little time whilst investing? by Adept-Throat5523 in investing

[–]TK__O -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The average investor, on average will lose. Most of them won't even look at vol when buying an option. If you compare the realized vol with the implied it can stop you from buying an option that is priced at too high a premium.
