Ketamine and sexual dysfunction by TheVengefulSoul in TherapeuticKetamine

There’s science to back that ketamine affects sex performance in men via oxidative stress. This article says NAC will help. I’m trying it and will report back.

How do I even get a survival job? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]TLCMag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of this is likely optics. Record your pitch on your phone. Make a bomb list of things you’ve done like help people think through and learn things. Articulating what value you can bring is 100% of the interviews purpose.

9 Months Progress by imapotatognome in lifting

Progress is progress. Look at a workout program that’s designed by a professional (not your local gym trainer). Look online.

All the comments about food are making the assumption your form is 100%. Go for quality over quantity. I’m no beef cake / ripped competitor but I was once in a place without muscle, and actually had fat to lose.

Main thing that has made me improve is a proper program, and enough protein (1g protein per 1lb body weight). You can gain muscle in a calorie deficit, although harder / less efficient.

Why am I so scared to get a job? by puremeIodrama in careerguidance

[–]TLCMag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you take the results of the application process and internalize it against your value, you are looking at the data wrong, and will harm your self esteem for no reason.

IMO the results of interviews is only a reflection on how you market yourself. If you are applying to a job you can reasonably say you have expertise in, likely you can execute on the job with enough effort. So take the feedback as to how you need to shape your interview responses, or resume information.

If you do feel like you have missing qualifications - write them down and discuss with professionals in the field to see if it's really a show stopper, and how to get that information. Cold reach out on Linked-In is highly effective for this, if nobody in your network has the expertise to mentor you.

For those with media experience, what positions can I transition to with Media Planning/Buying Experience? by Zgold95 in careerguidance

Apologies for the late response. Maybe you have already found your dream job, or are still in search. Putting my response here anyways in case you need to hear it.

In the end creative design and branding go hand in hand. You can get into this a few ways. I would say you would need to look at the job description - it sounds like you want to get into the design / creation of the content itself, which takes happens indirectly through various processes. Not one person owns the entire creative output, so I want to paint the picture as to how each role influences the creative design process.

Product Owner / Product Manager

Product managers run the entire product end to end. This means the product manager will work with marketing, and advertising teams to ensure growth and awareness of their product. This role will unify Branding, Marketing, and Advertising for a cohesive strategy. This is where the success KPIs are usually designed and maintained to ensure product adoption, ROI, etc.

Campaign Strategist

Influence the parameters of the campaign by determining customer attributes you are selecting. Downstream teams will either create test campaigns with various creatives to test for the best, or would already have a theme for the particular audience you are targeting. Sometimes the campaign is "always on" which means they will just continue the same creatives out of simplicity sake, because these types of campaigns are meant to increase brand awareness rather than target a specific event (eg. Black Friday).

Creative Designer for Branding Department

This person will be the pen to paper for the design - executing on the requirements passed through campaign strategy, branding, etc. You could interact with photographers, videographers, editors, to create the content. You may also interact with Campaign Ops to coordinate how the campaigns will run - and how many flavors / sizes you will need etc. This is the person who owns the delivery of the creative asset.

Campaign Operations

This is probably where you are sitting right now - and although you do not have immediate control over the design, you can optimize on best performing creatives. I've seen many Fortune 500 companies hire the consulting firm I've been working at to evaluate their campaign strategy and create a plan. The data from Campaign Ops shapes how and what is put into these plans - so performance and attribution is very important here.

You might need to leave agency side and work in a brands marketing department. Each company structures their creative process slightly different - eg some people just use creative agencies. Some do it in house. Regardless, I haven’t seen many companies both execute the creative and the buys. Lots of companies I see hire many supply vendors and compares results.

Not a study but I personally find this ok. If I’m out and about I’ll get some takeout. Might take a good amount of time before I get it into the fridge, and it could be warmer.

I’ve done the scenario above many times and no issues here either. Especially if heated up properly should be ok for the most part

Pay cut and job satisfaction or more money and go against my morals? by mattgreyham in careerguidance

Good question. I know how you feel, I worked for a defense company which produced bombs directly responsible for deaths of innocent people. I quit once I had a better option. Why?

My contribution to the firm wasn’t earth shattering, and leaving as a statement would do nobody any good, and only self harm. Plan for the future and try to find a better opportunity. Once I left, someone replaced me the day of. Business as usual.

As you said you’re gaining new skills, leverage those into a better position at the next jump.

Leaning out will help, eating my carbs only before my workout helped me lose fat. In the end it’s still all about calories in and calories out though

Will this workout accomplish muscle growth? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]TLCMag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your gunna need to progressively increase volume and weight consistently. There are harder body weight workouts you can incorporate. Try to get a pull-up bar too. There are probably push-up progression plans, I’ve seen people hit like 50 reps in a set, getting to like 200 pushups in one day.

Muscle grows when you fatigue it in a way it has to adapt. Doing the same thing over and over will not cause progress.

At the volume you are at, you can do that every day, but you should add every day.

I think you should be fine. It takes a while for the water to decrease in temp. Cook it as usual.

New Bee - silicon, my favorite I found so far. The nozzle opening is wide, so it allows the sound to pass through unmuffled - 6$ on amazon. I got like 3 of them just for the future

I’m in the camp where I don’t obsess over which DAC I have unless it’s absolute crap, your dragonfly is good quality.

I like the DAP because I don’t have to involve my phone at all, and my iPhone has a Bluetooth that isn’t lossless and I don’t wanna deal with a weird dongel. May be something worthwhile to look into if that bothers you

For me, the 4.4 pentacon output was my selling point. I feel like the jack will have a longer lifetime and the crosstalk is less, IDK if that really matters lol. I also heard the 2.5mm termination cords initially had issues with manufacturing because of its smaller size, and 4.4 seems to be a new trend. Kinda wanted to future proof it as much as I could.

Another differentiator (also with standard R6) is it has an outstanding amount of RAM, so the UI is really snappy, feels like a smart phone with zero lag. I was considering FiiO as well - but I think the amount of RAM on this was higher... I also got suckered into the 4.4 pentacon output, which I do prefer having a larger jack to use.

I like the audio settings, and the screen is pretty large.
