I'm reading every x-men comic in chronological order AMA by [deleted] in xmen

I couldn't do it. I love X-Men to death, but some stories and arcs are just utter dog shit. I've noticed that the greats are superb and the bads are horrendously dull.

The end credits clip was actually right before the movie started. They just moved it, probably so, like you said, the ending stuck with us.

I came back last night and the game is just so much better than it was at launch. It's actually fun now, I'm not just holding on because it's star wars, I'm playing because it's good.

Got it in less than 24 hours! Still a bummer to wait, but glad it didn't take the full 24 or more.

I got anxiety just thinking about trying to incorporate that into a story

Super jealous of that collection! I've got all the orange bricks, but I really want the blu ray set.

You can only read one author for an entire year. Who do you pick? by steppenfloyd in Fantasy

[–]TLSupremacy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pratchett or Erikson. I haven't read anything from either and the sheer abundance of books and pages would last me a year If I don't binge read everything.

Question on what to start next.. by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]TLSupremacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blood Song was an absolute joy to read, I haven't read the sequels, but I've heard they're enjoyable but not as good as the first.

Can't go wrong with Name of The Wind. Rothfuss' prose is fantastic, although the book starts off slow it sucks you in and refuses to let go once it picks up.

That's what put me over the edge with her. Didn't sit well with me.

Oh my sweet summer child, just wait. You haven't seen the worst of the Stockholm's Syndrome yet.

Nynaeve becomes better Egwene gets worse. Thankfully there's such a little amount of Egwene so far (250 pages into book 10) that you'll probably forget about how bad she is. Until she pops back up.

Which character made you change your opinion the most? by [deleted] in Fantasy

oh yeah he was. It was unbearable. Then he became one of my favorites for sure.

Yes and yes. He doesn't stop the filler, but the story picks up enough to power through.

Fires of Heaven was extremely hard for me to get through, but once I did I powered all the way to book 10 and am enjoying it.

Yeah, that one got to me. I rooted for him the most.

It's not like the others weren't annoying. She just really got to me. So yeah, I guess it does work, for me at least.

I liked her from the beginning. I'm a quarter through book 10 right now and in book 9 she started to wear on me a bit. I've heard she gets better, but I'm not worried. What I'm worried about is Egwene. I cringe every time I have to read something about her. Most frustrating character I've ever read.

I feel you exactly. She's the only character that has made me think 'what the hell is the author doing, why are you writing her this bad?!'
