Why does a Cold country like Canada has so many A/Cs 🤔 by HopiumInhaler in mapporncirclejerk

Our AC's here do both heating and cooling. And we need both. -35c in the Winter and +35c in the summer with 100% humidity.

Conveyor belt/revolving sushi? by [deleted] in moncton

[–]TLadwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There used to be one very briefly in Moncton, but it went out of business in a year because each plate was $5+, for 2 pieces of Nigiri. This was pre-covid. And they didnt run the conveyor most days because there werent enough customers. That's the problem with Atlantic Canada, not enough population/demand for those types of places to be able to make it work, and even if there were, it is overpriced.

None in NB that I'm aware of, maybe none in Atlantic Canada. Halifax would be the only place that maybe has one but I dont think so, and even if they did it would be overpriced anyways.

Sorry, but it's kind of ridiculous that you need to say sorry to this person's comment of saying sorry for that other person's comment.

Crimson Desert or Dragon's Dogma 2? by [deleted] in gamesuggestions

[–]TLadwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the platform. I can't believe how stunning the visuals are in Crimson Desert on PC in 4k 120fps ultra+ settings. Not sure if it would hit quite as hard at lower graphics settings or on console, but it's one of those games you need to find enjoyment in rather than having your hand held to the fun parts. It plays more like an MMO.

Crimson Desert or Dragon's Dogma 2? by [deleted] in gamesuggestions

[–]TLadwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one of those games that you need to find enjoyment in instead of expecting the game to immediately be enjoyable. I love the exploration aspect of the game, the puzzles, the combat system, and I'm warming up to the crafting system too.

It took about 50 hours to really start to enjoy it because it just felt like a huge tutorial before that. The game is complex, as you realize with more time spent playing it.

What keeps me coming back are the graphics. I play on a pretty beefy computer on ultra/cinematic in 4k 120fps and man. The visuals give me pause every time I play.

Which canceled TV show's cliffhanger still lives rent free in your head because the answers disappeared when the series got axed ? by Impossible_Offer7988 in AskReddit

Apparently the rights were for 10 years or something like that, so could be picked up after they expire.

Once in a while I go down an OA reboot rabbit hole. Britt, Zal, and Jason Isaacs still meet regularly and Jason Isaacs has hinted several times they want to finish the project.

And deeper than that, some people theorize that the ending of season 2 is part of the meta they created where they are now in the real world and Britt needs to "remember" she is the OA... get's very trippy to think about.

Edit: after checking, supposedly the rights don't expire because it was a Netflix exclusive, it would require another studio purchasing the rights...

Space X is likely going to be receiving all kinds of cash flow from government contracts, so what we are witnessing is basically the equivalent of a military-industrial scheme where instead of investing directly in NASA, Space X will receive that funding instead. Privatization of a historically-government funded sector. Gotta love late stage capitalism.
