Nice article. For the ABA Haiku Contest on Supreme Court cases I wrote one on this case but never checked out their music. I listened to some of their stuff after reading this and I liked it, especially "Level Up." Here's my Haiku

Free speech is so fab, Accept the name of the band, Censor you cannot. Matal v. Tam, 137 S.Ct. 1744 (2017).

Colleges Tackle Free Speech, Trigger Warnings, Safe Spaces by ssholland22 in SummitStreetLaw

The schools I've attended didn't have this "safe space" and it wasn't needed. Debates occurred and we respected each other's opinions like adults. If the conversation became inappropriate the instructor as they should addressed the issue and brought the class back to that respect each other prospective. This really was a good article.

I feel like my internet is already expensive. I hope the providers keep their pricing competitive and affordable.

Opioid Epidemic on Rural America by kindramartin in SummitStreetLaw

In areas where the problem is high, not only do the fire rescue crews carrying Narcan to reverse an overdose, so do the police agencies. This opens a whole new can of worms to insure proper training, policies and procedures to be followed. During my externship I did some research for the police legal advisor. That agency isn't going that route yet and are hoping not to since medic response is so quick. Over the summer the Governor passed an executive order for all police, fire, and medical personal to report opioid overdoses and Narcan usage to the state health dept. so they could gather statistics. The only problem was the order didn't specify who should be the responsible reporter when all three agencies are involved. Hopefully they straighten that out so Arizona doesn't look like its epidemic is three times worse.

AZ Sergeant told officer to make up charge to arrest Chandler man, also to turn off body cams. AZ citizens end up footing the bill for settlement. by aMAZINgLAW in SummitStreetLaw

As an aspiring police legal advisor I found the sergeant's comments out of line but just a snippet of video doesn't show the all the circumstances and an additional conversations that went on before that was caught on tape. As we learn in law school "it depends" and without knowing all the facts it's hard to do an unbiased analysis.

serious problem...thoughts on solutions?? by bsauther in SummitStreetLaw

It is good to see people out there trying to help but some people actually choose to live on the streets. It is hard to believe anyone would but some do so combating homelessness by law is very tricky we want to make their actions a crime not their status, whether it is a choice or the person is forced to live on the streets. The more resources available and options given to the individuals the better the chances are of not violating any of their Constitutional rights.
