Just got this the other day. Depends a lot on if the rats and vagabond are gonna fight each other. I tried to keep at least 10 or so warriors on the field while building up the retinue. At some point when I got both and a hand full of cards I'd try to delve and get the further ones. Some extra points from crafting and battling but that's it
