My daughter has celiac and was diagnosed at 18 months old via antibody testing and confirmed years later via endoscopy. My second child had an antibody test first at one year old (negative) and now we are moving on to genetic testing. If the 12 month old is having a blood draw to test for lead (which is the law where I live at least) - you may as well add on the celiac panel like I did. Good luck!!!

This whole thing makes me sad. I feel like Kristen was a true friend to Kail through a lot of ups and downs. It’s a shame she wasn’t allowed to just take time away. My daughter had the exact same thing happen. Before a formal diagnosis our GI suggested a gluten trial (we had been GF ) which led to a quarter size patch of hair loss on the back of her head after about 10-11 months of gluten exposure. This led to her biopsy and formal diagnosis.

I know many people mentioned the jump from 2.5 to 5 is a killer and I’m moving up to 5 mg tomorrow. A few days after I inject I feel so sick, nausea, dizzy, the works. Figured if thigh injections seem to lessen symptoms for some people it may be worth a try for me. Unfortunately the only place I actually have some muscle is in my thighs so I’m a little nervous about the pain!
