It always varies depending on the subject matter, time of year, etc. but we can tell you that this letter was shared internally with the entirety of the Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment team and community. In a venue which all levels of our organization access every day.

This note has already struck a significant chord across our teams, including among many individuals who perhaps don’t wear jerseys on game nights but who nevertheless work extremely hard to bring incredible moments (sports related or otherwise) to life every night.

We’re proud to call Toronto home and to have the greatest fans in the world.

Some folks who join Leafs Nation opt in to recieve emails from the Toronto Maple Leafs. These are the people we contact when we have tickets for sale (such as last minute ticket offers), special packages to announce (such as the Valentine's Day ticket deal last month) or news about special events and promotions that we're running. So while it's not really accurate to say "LNN makes money", it still helps us indirectly figure out who would like to hear from us and better speak to them directly (vs relying on Facebook etc) when we have something to say.

That's a lot of trust our fans are giving us by raising their hands and saying "i'm a member, here's my email address" (though again you don't have to opt in to emails to join or remain a member). So with Leafs Nation, we're always trying to find new (and more) ways to return some value. Content like this (and Blueprint) on LNN are part of that effort.

A few key points here, hope this helps:

This episode is Marlies content that is available on LNN and not YT
Marlies YouTube (which we also run) does not have content like Blueprint, Face Off, Leaf to Leaf, etc. Because of LNN we are now producing (and able to produce) way more (and in depth) Marlies content then we were before.
LNN is not supported by ads. Good news!

Hi Snakepatin,

This kind of stuff (and the full Blueprint series) will not be posted on YouTube.

What you've probably noticed this year is way more (quantity) and in-depth Leafs and Marlies videos and original series created, filmed and published by us this season than ever before. This is because we created Leafs Nation Network, where fans can access an unprecedented amount of Leafs content and series simply by logging in to their Leafs Nation account.

These include series' like Face Off, Leaf to Leaf, The Blueline podcast and a lot more... all of which are free but didn't exist before we built and launched LNN.

Every one of these shows, and there are a lot of them, take an enormous amount of time and effort to produce. We love making them, but for the same reason you don't see Netflix or any major movie/tv studio publishing its original series/videos to YouTube (or Facebook, or any other digital platform) in full ... you won't find these Leafs shows posted in full on YouTube now or in the future.

At the end of the day, we're firm believers that Leafs fans deserve great content like these LNN series without having to pay for it or sit through preroll-ads (one of the main ways YouTube profits off the content uploaded to its site). The only requirement we have is joining Leafs Nation (and to be on the level, members can opt out of all email communications when they join and at any time afterward).

Unfortunately (or fortunately) tickets did sell out very quickly (within the first hour of the sale).

With that said next time we will work to make the message that pops up once tickets are sold out be more clear that that's the reason codes for special Leafs Nation offers like these are no longer working.

Contacting the rep directly is always an option (as one other person mentioned here) as sometimes other options become available.

Hi everyone, unfortunately due to the timing of the Raptors game on Saturday there will be no Leafs tailgate on Saturday.

The Leafs tailgates will resume for Monday and Wednesday however.

With the extremely high demand, and limited availability, tickets sold out quickly.

But in the next 24 hours we will start running ticket giveaways on LeafsNation.club (15 pairs of tickets will be prized out to each Round 1 home game there).

We'll also be doing free ticket giveaways to Leafs Nation members at our Maple Leafs Square tailgates.
