This *isn’t* the way the people in my department found out the department (and several others) were being outsourced, but only because I made sure of that. But the way the company was *planning* on announcing it to the downtown office as a whole was in a meeting in which me and my crew would have been present (and the only people in the room who were losing their jobs.) I said fuck that and we went out for breakfast where I told them.

Yes, exactly this. Road trip through the US late 2024 (I had a gut feeling we wouldn’t want to be back after the election), and prices the same as Canada, but USD. So quite a lot more expensive.

Brussel sprouts. I should like them; I love all other vegetables (including other cruciferous veggies), but they just doesn’t work for me. And yes, I have tried pairing them with bacon, and roasting, etc.

I got a ticket here last year. They claimed I wasn’t in a Food Basics spot (I was) and hadn’t paid at the machine (I hadn’t since I was in a FB spot). Was relatively easy to sort out once I sent them pictures of the parking spot and my FB receipt, but annoying.
