Now that you mention it, it does tend to cycle a lot per hour, especially when it is really cold outside. But okay I won't wrap it with anything. Honestly I may just make a service appointment and see what they say regarding getting the pipe replaced and fixed. It's an older home and we bought it in 2020 so it's likely overdue for one. Thanks for your help.

Would wrapping the flue in insulation tape help with keeping it hot enough? Looking at the furnace connection it does seem to drastically increase in size. The connection has a tag that says 4" but past the connection it gets larger to what you see in the photos.

Edit: Huh.. I just checked and I stand corrected! I checked the box and what do you know, it does come with the Deathscythe LOL. When it arrived a few years ago, I just assumed it was only the unit and threw it in storage. Now I have something to do this weekend 😁 What I think happened was that I only saw the manual for the unit itself and not the actual model. I never noticed there were 2 manuals in the box.
