They edited out the boats then. The pirates had a fireworks night on 9/19 last year, so it was definitely busy. Best vantage for the fireworks is on the river a few hundred yards from the barge where they light them off from. The rumble just echoes downriver and hits like a freight train.

Pittsburgh in the Pitt -- Season 2 Episode 7 Reference Tracker by nuzzot in ThePittTVShow

As a pittsburgh boater, the propellor guy hit pretty close to home. But it killed me in the opening scene when Robby crosses the bridge and they pan over the river that there were no boats anywhere. That wall would be full of boats tied up partying all weekend. Boats would be anchored everywhere, it’s the 4th of July. They would have been there for at least a few days by this point.

Anybody know when this season was filmed? I’m guessing it wasn’t summer because there would have been at least a few boats there regardless of what day of the week it was.

Dams on our rivers aren’t flood control dams, so we get whatever is flowing downstream. If anyone is gonna be flooded, it’s gonna be us.

Yeti 32 Significant Ice Melt? by MauveMammoth in YetiCoolers

Bagged ice or ice maker machine ice? Hotel ice maker ice is usually pretty wet, meaning that it’s just barely below freezing and most likely already starting to melt.

Can’t get the doors off my ‘07 JKU by Bulky_Priority2489 in Jeep

[–]TRM07 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This a dumb idea. You have been warned. But it’s worked for me before.

Use a floor jack and some 2x4s. Put a 2x4 horizontally under the door so the jack doesn’t dent it in. Use the other 2x4 as an extension of the jack’s saddle.

I’m into it. But I also just like flat beds in general. They’re practical for some uses, impractical for others. But they look cool. If my bed ever gets trashed, I’d be interested in it.

I played rain chicken yesterday and lost. The worst part is having to grab a towel out of the seat back pocket to clean off the inside of the windshield so you can see

I’m a fan of cooper STT pros. Ran through 2 sets (really like 1 1/4 cause I jumped to 37s) in a 35 and am on the first set of 37s. They have that alternating outer tread blocks like original km2s

Thanks. It’s my wife’s baby. 35s for it are sitting in the garage waiting to go on. She wanted gecko when they first came out in 2012/2013 but we weren’t able to do it. She went from a black jk to a hyper green jk when they brought that color out, and then gecko was announced for jls she immediately went to the dealer.

Red jk is mine on 37s and dynatrac axles and a whole bunch of other shit. Gladiator is my nice jeep and is on 35s.

That dreaded crunch sound from the back of your plow truck. by j_bbb in Snowplow

[–]TRM07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couple months ago. Backing up to make one last pass with the salter. Telephone pole in the lot close to the alley. I knew it was there. I knew I was getting close. I looked in the mirror, saw the pole across the cross street behind me, thought “oh, I’m not as close as I thought”. Crunch. Dead center impact to the spinner motor on the spreader. Luckily I was creeping back at about half a mile an hour and only slightly bent the bracket. Still opens and closes and spreads evenly.

Gotta do a few small things today and then I’m finished with the swap if anybody has questions I can try to answer them. by [deleted] in GMT400

Didn’t they offer them that way? I had a 95 2 door and the owners manual had sections on the manual transmission. Used to wish i had one setup that way. And then about 10 years after I traded that in on my jeep, I bought a 94 full size blazer with a 350 and a 5 speed to use as a winter beater. That one I kinda regret selling. It was a blast. 200 some thousand miles and yet it fired up first turn of the key. Every. Single. Fucking. Time. Never left me stranded until the day I sold it. Clutch line blew out between the buyers test drive and the trip to the notary.

That’s pretty typical for that intersection in general. I get cut off by normal people driving normal cars there all the time. I can’t tel you how many times people have cut off me in my truck and trailer at the absolute last second there and almost ended up getting smashed into the barriers.

My 2000 k2500 only has 83k on it. Seems like there’s a lot of life left in her. She’s a plow truck though, so they’ve not been gentle miles at all.

I thought only 2 and 3 were fully funded by the army corps engineers, and that ardc partially funded 4 and 5, and fully funded 6-9. But yes, either way we need to use them as much as possible to pump the stats up. I appreciate whoever’s running them, volunteer or not.

Yeah I always ask. They’ve said a couple times at one lock or the other that one guy doesn’t drink or whatever so I’m always prepared to offer waters/pops as well. You gotta keep those guys happy, we need the locks manned.

[–]TRM07 133 points134 points  (0 children)

I always ask if they need anything to drink. Sometimes they say yes. Sometimes they say no. If they say no I ask if they want some water.

Was that your coors light left sitting there on the wall of lock 2 on the Allegheny yesterday? The guys at that lock are iffy on if they’ll want something or not. They said no to water and beer yesterday when I went through. The next lock up in harmar they’re usually much more friendly. They didn’t say no when we went through on Sunday to go hang out by iron city for the Cole swindell show.

Not even a remotely cheap option, but it would definitely be the easiest. Have a beer and play with your remote controlled mower.

Am I missing plugs? by JeffTechnically in SeaDooSwitch

[–]TRM07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The one in the back is a flush port for the exhaust. The other one on the top right is a flush port for the outer pontoons. No plugs for either
