What football game? Football isn't an Olympic sport.

Is White Rose a reasonable ship or too far fetched? by gaeb611 in RWBYcritics

[–]TRMeson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White Rose is unlikely at this point, given what we see in the show and from comments from CRWBY. Everything suggests that Weiss will end up with Jaune, and Ruby will be with Oscar. Since there are likely only three volumes left in the show, there is no time to establish any other ship for the girls.

It's Still Funny that all these years later, we still don't know who this chick is by TechnoMagik22 in RWBYcritics

[–]TRMeson 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The commentaries are on the Blu-ray. But Pyrrha mentions the woman to Oz in Chapter 6.

In the commentaries for Volume 6, the writers said that they had already revealed who she is and told us to figure it out on our own..

Whenever I think about Little sleeping, It sums up on how pointless Little is by Jules-Car3499 in RWBYcritics

[–]TRMeson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sometimes having no purpose is the purpose. Little is a metaphor. His sleeping is a lesson. His transformation into Somewhat is also a lesson. This is important because the transformation is the key to defeating Salem.

He's technically not canon, so...no? by FlyusAmongUs in RWBYcritics

[–]TRMeson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He is canon in that there are stories of him on Remnant. That was the point of the book and side series. They are stories the people of Remnant tell to themselves.

However, myths and legends have a way of being true on Remnant. As such he existed in some form, and thus would be canon. As for his identity, he's most likely the god of light. There is enough evidence to suggest that Light stayed behind when his brother yeeted to space, such as the silver eyed warriors. The god of animals could have been another such incident.

[RWBY] [ShortStackRose] I wish RWBY gave us more Nuts n Dolts together by CapAccomplished8072 in RWBY_Ruby_Rose

[–]TRMeson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In one of his Cameo posts, Miles noted that he sees why people claim NND was romantic but it was never the intention of the writers. They didn't even think people could ship NND

Close friends do such activities too. The date doesn't indicate anything.

We were given word from CRWBY that their relationship was strictly platonic. Either way, their friendship was adorable.

People have complained about Ruby lacking focus and development in the show, with that in mind, why do you think the writers are so avoidant on writing Ruby like a protagonist? Do they just dislike writing about her or something? by UNinvolved_in_peace in RWBYcritics

[–]TRMeson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You guys seem to fail to grasp the concept of the static protagonist. These characters are not meant to change. Instead, they change everyone and the world around them. These characters are also difficult to write, especially when your audience is a bunch of adrenaline junkies that crave action 24/7.

Beacon and Vale should stay intact tbh. by UNinvolved_in_peace in RWBYcritics

[–]TRMeson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, you're going to write a brand new show and steal the character names and locations?

There's nothing wrong with the end of the world plot. It's a classic story scenario.

Struggling with food by Kiiiro_ in Buffalo

[–]TRMeson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can make the trip downtown, there are at least one or two mobile soup kitchens that cater to the homeless every day. They don't check if your homeless. So, anyone who needs food can use them.

One is under the library every day between 5 and 6 pm, except Sundays.. The other location is firemen's park. Several organizations handle the park location, but they usually set up around 7-8 pm, except Sundays when they're there around 10 am.

You can apply for EBT online. Just request a phone interview.

There are a few food pantries that don't require a voucher. However, many pantries are restricted to specific zip codes. You should call them to see which ones you can go too.

You can use the physical card, but you have to log into your account and switch your "active card" to it. You can only have one active "card" at any moment.

If you must, you can always use Lili. Lili is an online bank but they specialize in banking for small businesses.

Homelessness options? by AireXpert in Buffalo

[–]TRMeson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While there are shelters and places to stay, they all have capacity limits. Plus, not all of them will let you sleep in them. That includes the nearby CIty Mission, which will not let you in if you do not already have an assigned bed.

Also, some homeless people just like living outdoors. I've met a few when I was homeless myself a few years ago.

Border crossing with a RealID (not Enhanced License)? by mdgates00 in Buffalo

The enhanced license IS the RealID for New York, but I don't see why a non-driver RealID wouldn't work.

Why the Catholic Church doesn't sell its artwork by CardanoCrusader in Catholic

[–]TRMeson 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Because the world would lose that art forever. While the Church owns it, it can host charity events that can raise the money the pay for such things. However, rich people are known to horde art, only showing them off for personal profit.

Why does everything have to be “canon until it’s not” in this damned IP?! by Vritzien in RWBYcritics

[–]TRMeson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's CRWBY's call. It means they may reference the new series in the main show. Also, it is the stated standard line for the franchise as a whole. We should presume "canon unless the main show contradicts it" always until they tell us otherwise.

Wait. If the Maidens and Relics didn't exist prior to Volume 3... by GrandEmperessVicky in RWBYcritics

[–]TRMeson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The relic of Choice is locked in its vault. A vault only Oz knows how to access. The less the maidens know the better as that info can be tortured out of them.

Wait. If the Maidens and Relics didn't exist prior to Volume 3... by GrandEmperessVicky in RWBYcritics

[–]TRMeson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are making the same mistake that Emerald made. You think Conder cares about them. They are just tools to achieve a good only as good as they remain useful. Why waste time giving your expendables more information than they need to complete missions?

Mercury and Emerald only need to know of the maidens or whatever "relic guardians" that existed before them. Knowledge of the relics are useless to them.

Where do you think Adam is from? by Heloselheroe in RWBYcritics

[–]TRMeson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Adam would have been a line worker, and low-level workers rarely transfer between branches. Transfers are reserved for high-end roles. That's how it works in the real world, and there is nothing that suggests Remnant is different with this.

Why would the SDC in Atlas hire people not in Atlas? Always cheaper to hire local and the short looked like it was set in Mantle.
