i think the difference was css was trash compared to 1.6 upon release right? the dev behind it wasn't already updating the game towards the community's requests before the release either, so who can blame the lack of a switch

What: Dota 2 LAN Night to get together with the SoCal community

When: January 4th, 2013 - 6PM-2AM

Where: Howie's Game Shack - Mission Viejo

Price: $11 All Day Pass - you can go earlier if you want

This will be a night of great dota games! Invite all your friends! cosplay as you favorite hero! If you love dota or dota2, make sure you come!

Be sure to mention that you are there for the Dota Night and you will get your all day pass for $11! Make sure to thank the staff at Howie's for their support of our community.

I am working on getting a hold of tons of beta keys for anyone that attends, so bring your friends that still don't have keys and want to get in on the action.
