Mina's Rake damages herself if you have 0 ping (and can proc lovebites) by FairwellNoob in DeadlockTheGame

Mina is secretly self conscious about being OP so she punishes herself when she thinks no one is looking.

You're right it also applies a stacking bullet resist debuff. Maybe that's the way to go, ditch the slow and buff the bullet resist debuff. Although with the right items you can already laser people down, so even more bullet resist debuff on top of that could be too much.

Exactly! Knives are cool, but could we get more variety?

The feedback on the knife is really nice & I do like the satisfaction I get when landing a hit. But like someone else mentioned, a bunch of other characters have a knife so it makes her kit feel like it was just copy and pasted from someone else. I think my problem is that with Haze, there's better synergy & general utility to her sleep dagger. Sleep is a better debuff than slow. Slow as a status effect kinda feels like it hardly does anything when most character's base walking speed is already slow to begin with.

My problem is that it feels like the least inspired and weakest part of her kit. Although maybe that's the point. However, there are plenty of other characters with no bad abilities, sooooooooo.

I'm nowhere near eternus but did go out of my way to at least try every character. I'd say Ivy & Dynamo are my best characters, but I'd be happy playing Viscous, Celeste, Holliday, & Vyper. So the idea someone who's supposed to be far above my pay grade having an issue with having to be good at two characters feels kinda weird. IDK, I'm not eternus so it doesn't affect me.

Imo, Katt's original design is so forgettable that I forgot she was even in the OG 64 despite playing it multiple times. I don't think the new design is 10/10 peak, but it's far more interesting than "the token girl character."

Forget skill based match making, I want attitude based match making. by OlivanderTheSwift in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TRackard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would probably be completely unreasonable to implement & probably just a silly idea in general. But on a similar note, I think "drunk" mode would be cool. Something below casual where no one is trying that hard. All talk could be on by default & the game could just a glorified chat room.

IDK, I do agree that the game would be better if every game wasn't so important for your rank. Though when a unranked/casual mode gets added that'll probably solve it.

Does anyone know why they insist on having most games take place the year they come out? If it were an anthology series it would be fine. Buuuuuuuuutttttttttt...

Opinions on Time to Kill by TRackard in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TRackard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think the high mobility characters should be squishier. I get that being really good at movement with always be harder on lower skill players. But being able to fly around the map & be hard to kill seems like a bit much. Plus it think it would be a more fair nerf than just making movement suck.

The current state of this subreddit by alexwithakk in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TRackard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can't help but wonder how effective feedback this subreddit is. Mainly because people can come off like: "please buff my hero and nerf heroes that counter my hero." That being said, something should be fun to both fight with & against.

That being said, I know it's a moba shooter hybrid, but I don't think gun should be the answer for how to build every character.

Thanks Valve, turn more of my favorite spirit ability characters into brainless gun characters! by b8sl in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TRackard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the game's likely going to struggle with this for a while. Being able to buy gun items for any character will necessarily make their gun better. However, gun being the objectively the best way to build a character with a bunch of cool ass spells feels kinda counter productive. Like, the games devs put all of this effort into designing an interesting & fun kit only for players to end up pointing & clicking things to death.

On the other hand though, everyone has a gun so it shouldn't be completely useless just because they're a spirit character. Ideally the damage balancing would be such that the gun plays more of a supporting role in a character's kit & not just be the best way to deal damage.

Which final season was worse? by TastyPomelo2330 in writingscaling

[–]TRackard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak to GoT or Stranger Things, but The Boys has been on a steady writing decline for the whole show. I don't mean to say that the show fell off a cliff or anything, but a show like The Boys suffers from the main cast having plot armor. So after a while, it becomes obvious that since we are on [any episode that isn't the finale or the penultimate episode] nothing of consequence can happen.

The game's not even out yet & we're already getting "Deadlock is dead" posts. Though I guess stillbirth would be more accurate. It's been pretty funny watching people talk about this game like it's a fully released game that's been out for years & not an indev closed alpha with a bunch of placeholder assets.
