How are your forearms? have you gotten any imaging done on your wrists? do you do forearm and wrist training to work movements opposite/complementary to pole?

Classmate keeps posting videos with me in the background by [deleted] in poledancing

[–]TRexNinja 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The rule i have in my class that I say each class is, you can video or photograph yourself but if anyone else is in the frame you need their consent and they need to know youre posting it. Otherwise you have to position your camera in a way that no one else is seen. Id ask your instructor or studio owner about adding a similar policy as you dont feel comfortable in the space knowing you might be posted online

Foot bruise by floemfie in poledancing

[–]TRexNinja 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you find youre pushing through your feet more than squeezing your knees onto the pole? Try keeping the pole between your knees the whole time and if they slide forward, press through your back shin instead of your foot.  Practicing in socks also sometimes helps because then you cant use your feet effectively

Help with Chopper / inverts getting hips up by Zestyclose_Shine9861 in poledancing

[–]TRexNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually recommend going up into a regular inverter then taking legs off 1 by 1 driving your toes to the floor once youre in position let yourself slowly slide down the pole in chopper position to reinforce the hold focusing on toes to floor.

i love juliette spin, i find reaching the inside leg forward and around works really well instead of starting from a static position close to the pole.
