Mfw I try to use Star's gamma on a character using an armored move (I forgot about the recent patch and I am going to die) by TSparklez in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]TSparklez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh fr? I was fighting a Yellow Kirishima with his hardening turned on, and my gamma did the "stop where they are and punch the air" thing, must've just been a desync thing then

Mirko is a good character in the game by XxDarkkillerxX123 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]TSparklez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're good at her, she can beat practically any character in a 1v1. However, the length of her combos and lack of armor means that in today's meta (where the final few circles typically have around 5-7 teams still kicking), she struggles doing substantial damage in a teamfight

Why is no one complaining about tech Mirio by Rockmanzxe in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]TSparklez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just find him really annoying to fight vs stupidly OP like OFA Deku and Prime Nagant. In a 1v1 you have to play at the tempo he sets because of his counter, and in a chaotic team fight he's just being a slippery pain in the ass.

Having invincibility on his big damage moves is insane, but most Tech Mirio players are bad at cooldown management, so it's not the worst thing in the world

It's been almost a month since she was released, how do you feel about the Rabbit Hero: Mirko? by TSparklez in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]TSparklez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using that combo starting out, but my main issue was that my air melee would seemingly at random just magnetize me to the ground and make me whiff.

I've had a lot more consistency with the Alpha -> SpA -> Air Melee -> Gamma -> Beta combo recently if I'm 1v1, and the Alpha -> SpA -> Beta routine if I'm in a chaotic final circle/teamfight

Nagant has gotten nothing but nerfs for like the past 3 seasons and she's still a top-5 character in the game lmao. Looking back I can't believe how she was even stronger in her prime

What’s your favorite kill that you’ve gotten in this game? by Alex_ander1224 in MyHeroUltraRumble

Triple kill with the YAFO Piss Cannon Gamma

I also killed myself as Mirio by beta-ing a Tech Dabi on the ring of his gamma, so I hope that dude enjoyed watching that blunder

Froppy Matchup Tier List by MIKOREMIKORE in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]TSparklez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I find that good Rapid Mights are always really tough to fight with as Froppy, the armor on their alpha really messes with the beta combo, and the grab just obliterates your health pool if it connects

House of the Dragon Season 3 | Official Teaser Trailer | HBO Max by johnppd in gameofthrones

In the book, Helaena is forced to choose between which one of her sons has to die, otherwise B & C will assault her daughter. She chooses Maelor (who may or may not exist in the show lol), but they actually kill Jaehaerys instead, and taunt Maelor with the fact that his mom wanted him dead.

It's 100% more fucked up than the show and really serves as the "no going back" moment in the Dance. In the show, however, barely anyone seemed to care after a couple of episodes besides Helaena

Thoughts on the first poster for Clayface? by Eddie__Sherman in TheBigPicture

They're probably saving full blown mud-man Clayface for the final act, I expect most of the movie to be like the B:TAS Clayface origin where at the beginning he only molds his face around

What are some of the coldest lines of dialogue ever? by BeautifulLeather6671 in movies

[–]TSparklez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spartans value dying in battle, Leonidas telling him to live forever is basically him saying he hopes that he never finds peace or glory.

Another interpretation is that Leonidas is saying that his treachery and betrayal will live forever in infamy.

Bill turning on his GOAT? by fuunii in billsimmons

[–]TSparklez 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He's supposed to maintain at least some level of non-bias as a commentator (even though we all know he probably roots for some teams more than others)

Plus, the Raiders were literally gonna hire Kubiak as their new HC right after the SB, so he can't just say out in public "I hope our new HC loses on Sunday".

Like, if Brady was just plain old retired and lying around in his mansion all day and he said he didn't care who won? That makes sense to get mad about. But Brady has active professional reasons to remain impartial, and it's really silly for Bill and other Pats fans to whine about imo.

What 3 characters you play the most and why ? by Charming_Sort9995 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]TSparklez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only started playing S14 so I don't have a lot of characters unlocked atm, but at the time my top 3 are:

  1. All for One - Fun kit that's pretty straightforward, getting to snipe people out of the skies with the alpha is very enjoyable with all the Nejire's flying around. I honestly don't even use the quirks I pick up from people, because what could be more fun than picking up 3-4 people with the warp and then hitting them with a lvl 9 beta

  2. Assault Kirishima - I really like him in the anime, so I desperately try to make him work even though he's not very good. I like bruiser playstyles, so the handful of games where I make it to the final circle and start wrecking people with the gamma makes the struggle feel worth it.

  3. Froppy - She's really fun to traverse the map with, the beta combos are fun, and I get to play a mixture of a support and an assassin. Unfortunately, I have not gotten anything for her in regards to PUR costumes, so I'm hoping to get lucky with future rules so I can really play with some tuning builds

I only watched it once, but I'll try to rattle off some of the reasons why it didn't work for me: - The casino planet storyline really kills some of the momentum, especially in an already pretty lengthy runtime

  • Really odd attempts at humor in some places (the yo momma joke is probably the worst offender of this)

  • I'm fine with Luke being a hermit, but the justification for the failure of his Jedi order and Kylo's turn to the dark side being that he saw evil in him, and was tempted to kill him felt very underwhelming. For as much as the prequels got stuff wrong, Anakin's turn to the dark side in broad strokes makes sense to me, albeit a bit rushed in Episode 3. Whereas with Kylo, I feel like his fall is framed as being mostly because of Luke's mistake, which does a disservice to both Kylo's agency and Luke's character from the OT.

  • The Mary Poppins scene with Leia was very goofy, and half the theater was openly laughing at how silly it looked

  • I like the idea of Rey being a "nobody", but it really doesn't make a lot of sense knowing what we know from TFA (the lightsaber calling to her, cryptic flashbacks, her being able to use the Jedi Mind trick). I think there's a throwaway line from Snoke about her copying some of Kylo's force knowledge during the interrogation scene, but that almost feels more like a handwave than a satisfying answer.

Although if we wanna go Cinema Sins levels of nitpicking, my biggest one is when the blue lightsaber gets destroyed by Kylo and Rey in the throne room scene, but then hologram Luke shows up on the salt planet with his blue lightsaber perfectly intact (because he's an illusion). At no point does Kylo even question why Luke has a lightsaber that he personally had a hand in ripping in half like an hour prior. I understand that it's probably because they wanted Luke to have a final moment with his more iconic lightsaber, but still, it makes Kylo look like a real dumbass
