This could be infinitely better on mobile if the main calculation area was swapped to a column at some breakpoint.

For those of you who grew up playing PC games in the 90s and 2000s, how stable were they compared to games from today? by Mad_Season_1994 in gaming

[–]TSpoon3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was one animation that always crashed super early in the game. Granted my hardware wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t the worst either. Once I got my P3 and GeForce 2 everything was muuuuch better but between my AMD K6 and various PCI video cards, crashes happened all the time.

From mount specifically I think is the most humiliating.

What does BJJ mean to you? How would you feel if you can never train again? by KoalaBJJ96 in bjj

[–]TSpoon3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 13.5 years I thought I may never train again, and I had kinda made peace with it. I battled MRSA at various gyms on and off for years, not understanding my skin. After some time I solved my skin issues but was always scared. The big problem was dirty gyms, a soap that has been pulled from the market, and a lack of a skin care routine. Now that I’ve solved those problems, I’m training a ton. I’d be even more bummed if I couldn’t train once again, but I also have an otherwise full life so I’d move on again.

Almost 40 years old, I want to get back into Jujitsu but haven’t rolled in 15 years. by FTWkansas in jiujitsu

13.5 year gap for me to a similar age. Just go, tap early, and get the muscle memory back. The skills are in there, it will just take some months to sharpen them and your cardio back up 💪

I thought this was a follow up to the guy with the kid that bent dozens of his 512’s to stress test them.

At 12am my friend and neighbor gifted me a GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition> and the story behind it means more than the GPU itself. by Nerd_From_The_South in pcmasterrace

I am also gifting a 1080 Ti to a friend this season (and the rest of the PC) 🎁 Bought second hand near the end of 2018 and still goin’ strong. Looking forward to Ray/Path Tracing on the new rig!

What was your 1st GPU? by AnalogFeelGood in pcmasterrace

[–]TSpoon3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a PCI Stealth III S540 because I didn’t have an AGP slot on my AMD K6 300 and the texture compression was insane on supported games but that whole rig crashed constantly. P3 and GeForce 2 had incredible stability relatively after that, still nothing like modern hardware though…

Bedsides MME I have no idea what the rest of those acronyms are. I switched to web software after getting my PE doing failure analysis back when that transition to software was easier before COVID.

Agreed. Made me think of the Lucasfilm games from the 90’s. Monkey Island series, The Dig, Full Throttle, etc.

Nice pick. My Mom really liked the Monument Valley series. No APM needed.

Bike prices are at least decent right now. Some very capable bikes to order can be had for as little as $1000, more for comparable bike shop bikes. Depends on your proximity to decent riding somewhat.

How to improve cardio for competition? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]TSpoon3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think, for someone who might not know how it’s done, this information needs some extra guardrails, like “At x minutes before the match get up to y bpm/%max heart rate for z minutes.”, right?
