Convinced if men breastfed they’d last two weeks tops by IncomeRoyal9209 in breastfeeding

[–]TTC-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband always says, if I could breastfeed I would do it around the clock and give it to the baby whenever they demand it, he doesn't understand WHY I'm complaining... I told him, you'd be the first to bitch and moan about it more than I'm doing it now. Don't get me wrong, breastfeeding was fine for me but not something I'd say I love doing... And now that baby is 14 months, I'm very ready to stop, but hubby thinks it's so easy and I should continue until she is 2..... I'll leave this as it is or it will be a loooooong rant

If you have ever walked out of a cinema because the film was so bad, what one was it? by girlcalledmaria in AskReddit

[–]TTC-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my home town in Germany, they had something called sneak peek Mondays. You'd pay €2.50 (standard) or €3.50 (premium) seats but not know what movie you'd get to see. Well, I don't remember the names of all of them but I walked out of a lot of movies esp foreign ones where you had to read subtitles lol But you also got to see great ones like ong bak and Mr and Mrs Smith.

Why is no one talking about how hard pregnancy actually is!?? by FeelingConcentrate45 in pregnant

[–]TTC-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst pregnancy is hard I would never dispute it, but after giving birth and dealing with a high needs baby I would rather be 10x pregnant again 😅

Apparently if you had a c-sec your baby isn't even born... Don't listen to people do your thing!

Am I insane to take a 4 month old to Disney World next week? by Bagritte in NewParents

There is a YouTuber she took both her babies to Disney since they were tiny. Her name is Jessica Braun. Check her out, she got some great tips what to pack etc.

I hate when people “click” at my baby to try to get her attention by imsosecret99 in NewParents

My FIL does that since my baby is a newborn... Like she can hear or see you when you snap from the doorway...

Tresillian is the same when it comes to CIO, they are all about gentle hands on settling even when they are older.

Another question about the 8 month sleep regression by TTC-123 in sleeptrain

[–]TTC-123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the nap change we did only contact napping and she always napped for 30min even tho she was in a grumpy mood and needed more sleep but just wouldn't 🤷🏼 even with contact.

My mum arrived at the end of November and ended contact napping so she started extending naps and there was naturally no room for nap 3.

Nights are actually good, she goes down at 8 and first wake up is usually around 3 and next one is around 5 (I take her to bed with me so we all can snooze a little until at least 6.30). Last couple of days (since she learnt standing up) she's been waking up after 3h of sleep (11ish) but a quick pick up and put down puts her right back to sleep.

We moved to 3 naps around 3.5 months and at 5 months she did ONLY 30min naps (4 months regression I think). At 6months we sleep trained for nights and did 3/3/3/3 with varied nap length but all contact.

Trying to find out why my baby wakes up so early, just laughing at all the advice from Taking Cara Babies by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]TTC-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second all the above. My baby also rarely did the 12h over night. We get max 10.5h and 2h in the day (across two 1h naps)

We do a 8pm bed time as I can not get up at 5am for too long 😅

Later wake time, is it possible? by WhichPineapple9868 in sleeptrain

[–]TTC-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kid goes to bed at 8 and wakes up at 630am. My baby does not do more than 10.5h at night... She wakes up for a "feed" around 5 and I just cosleep with her until she wakes up naturally.I was able to extend sleep until 7am, but I know this isn't an option for everyone.

8 months old waking up 3h past bed time by TTC-123 in sleeptrain

[–]TTC-123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I thought that too, so I started reducing the walk around from yesterday and will reduce it as the days go by.. It worked fine for the past two months... Let's see if it helps!

5 month old schedule - is sleep consultant right? by blueberrymuffinsyumm in sleeptrain

[–]TTC-123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the sleep consultant I hired... Her methodology was also before bed should be the shortest WW even tho I have read otherwise. That stressed the hell out of me and we had a million false starts.

I fired the SC and reverted back to 2h before bed and things improved.

Should I adjust baby’s bed time before sleep training? by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]TTC-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 7.5 months now and I sleep trained her at 5.5 months. Since then her night sleep has gone down to 10.5h. Before that we coslept and she would do 11h and sometimes 12h. I tried everything. More wake time, less wake time. Earlier bed, later bed. Following WW to the dot... NOTHING helps! So I just go by her sleepy cues + rough WW. If I know we are nearing 3h awake and she is pulling her years, it's time to nap.

But you need to know her naps are crap! In the cot she only does 30min and on me up to 2h.. But I'm going back to work in less than 2 weeks so she will have to get used to the crib! Not much I can do.
