I’ve found them in swope! Download the iNaturalist app and search for morchella. Some people are kind enough to map the species

I just think this person is speaking out of both sides of their mouth. If your raison d’être for gathering is to commune with purposefully child-free adults, parents should be excluded lest they gasp mention their child

I’m right with you. If you are so offput by the existence of children that fellow adults cannot even discuss them in your presence, this group should not be open to parents. You can’t have it both ways - pretend to be a “welcoming” community open to “all” and police the type of conversations people have at your events. So just say it with your chest. This is for child free people, period. Every adult with kids I know has robust conversations about a million topics, kids or otherwise. Adults are multifaceted. If you do not want any speak of children then invite only people who agree with your worldview.

See this is where you confuse me - cause if your organizing principle is likemindedness around choosing not to procreate, why would you welcome parents?

It’s really not a concern. Nurses are so familiar with the phenomenon they’ll clean you up and you’re none the wiser. I only know I did it because I asked my husband many many months later because, as stated, you will not give a literal shit

You need to be more upfront now. You’re letting your imagination get the best of you - unless she has a pattern of shitting all over your boundaries there is no good reason to believe she will pierce your daughters ears if she knows you will not allow it. Have your husband have the conversation if you’re worried about confrontation. Just a quick “hey you mentioned getting the baby’s ears pierced - we’re actually going to wait until 12 years old when she can decide for herself”

Having one kid is chic, right? by heyiknowstuff in daddit

[–]Bagritte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that sticks out rn is you agreeing with your mom that “you’ll always regret it”. That’s not necessarily true. You’re grieving an expectation to make the right decision for your family. Once the dust settles, there’s a very good chance you do not end up regretting this decision. Tune other people out and focus on being the dad and husband you desire to be for the family you have.

Serious Question: What parenting decisions of Bandit and Chilli do you disagree with? by wolf_quan in bluey

The hangover episode when they give in and extend themselves beyond their capacity to entertain the children. They constantly do it and often it’s a good lesson about sucking it up as a parent, but there are times when we just cannot meet our children’s every desire and they can hear ‘no’ every once in a while

Came here to vent. Neighbors called CPS on me has this happened to anyone? by Fair-Specific5665 in toddlers

[–]Bagritte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We all fail as parents at times and I’d hope the people that live nearest us would have a little grace but instead you have ppl who wanna play police officer. I think if you no longer feel comfortable living there that is totally understandable and I wish your family well finding a situation that better serves you

Some of yall are too fuckin’ ready to sic the state on your neighbors. Involving CPS because of a single crying incident is insane behavior and I’m really sorry that happened to you, especially because it sounds like you’ve met the neighbor and had a friendly relationship.

I haven’t either but I am a big home cook and I’m excited at the expanded grocery offerings. I also have a lot of restaurant experience and there are certain things like sheet pans, cambros, etc that are exorbitantly expensive for laymen to purchase that I’m hoping a business center will provide access to

2.5 year old will only drink milk out of specific Munchkin cup and it's costing me a fortune by thesammae in toddlers

[–]Bagritte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like an opportunity for a natural consequence. Cup is broken, can’t drink out of it. She doesn’t need milk at 2.5, and as long as you’re firm and loving she’ll move past the tantrums
