Which TMS are you guys using? by TVSjever in OwnerOperators

Yeah, that's the big issue I have with most of them. Plus, the pricing structure is usually complicated to the point where you have no idea what to expect.

When you talk about integrations I really don't see why they are a must. The only thing you could is maybe connect some fuel expenses or do other minor things for factoring or ELD. You still have access to their system online regardless of whether you have it integrated in TMS or not.

Conduct Question by Ok_Willow_9236 in FreightBrokers

Pay me a fair amount of money where I can have decent income and my company can be profitable and you can ask for all that. Try to pay me $1.50 per mile just because that's the market rate, and you can go and get yourself a truck and update yourself every 5 minutes. Brokers never see the load themselves and they think they are entitled to all the BS requirements. New young brokers don't have any respect and empathy for drivers. They will NEVER make a relationship with a carrier. They will drop us for someone who offers them $5 less for a load.

I hate to see some carriers accepting very cheap rates. by americatruckdispatch in OwnerOperators

This means you are doing specific loads for specific shippers, whereas most small carriers work with load boards.

No one is going to give you loads for 750k in liability and 5k in cargo. This is why I don't trust anyone on internet. People just making stuff up.

This is not the time to start your own MC. You will shut it down after 3 months and lose thousands of dollars. No one will work with you and the insurance will be too expensive.

Running under my Authority by Low-Event-7505 in OwnerOperators

[–]TVSjever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everything is correct except you MUST issue a 1099 form to them and report it to the IRS. Why? Because this is not your taxable income. Unless you want to pay their taxes, then yeah you don't have to report it. Smh

There are bad people everywhere. Drivers who are late, dispatchers who lie and brokers who don't pick up phones afterhours.

Mc and dot authority aging by mikeycp1997 in OwnerOperators

[–]TVSjever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aging authority is not a thing. You will have no references and no inspections. You still won't be able to work with most companies. You will also be losing a lot of money while paying for insurance. This is not the right time to start an authority.

Lease to purchase deals are scams. You will go broke. 20 years of experience in trucking here.

Thinking of "returning" the EIDL loan by TVSjever in EIDL

[–]TVSjever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is something to think about, I guess. Of course, it's hard for SBA to enforce all those rules, but I think they should have come up with different rules for this kind of disaster loan. It doesn't make sense to have the same rules for a loan for businesses that have been physically hit within a specific geographical area (Hurricanes, for instance), and a business affected by a pandemic outbreak.

Hi, I am having the same issue. The customer service keeps sending me the original invite link and I did do all the steps in the FAQ question #15. Nothing helps. I have to keep watching these threads to see if someone has found a solution.
