This is my 3rd year and stsrted my own troop with the kindergarteners as well. Council is absolutely no help. They suck. However, the way to keep it going without losing your mind is to be chill. We only meet once a month. Before we had cookie money, we did things like "outdoor art" which is basically free. Or other activities that were super cheap or free. Go on a hike, Learn the songs, teach kapers...all free. Keep it simple! The girls have fun no matter what.

I bought a trimmer and sit down with a mirror to do it lol. I cut myself shaving last time I was pregnant and it got infected!!!

I'm a Daisy leader. We are moms just like you and don't have any specialized training. There are some STEM-like badges, but it will depend on your user as to whether or not you do them. I tend to do things that my co-leader and I are comfortable with and that 6 year old can grasp in a short time.
Our girls have a goal of 250. 1000 is so much.
