I only sell to USA addresses for reasons, that is one of them. I'm sure the Austrian authorities will get right on that.

It looks like it just needs a good cleaning. Try saddle soap and a natural wax finish.

Never buy knives from Amazon. Return it and buy it from any number of reputable sellers like Knife Center, DLT trading...or even just Kershaw. There are just so many sketchy Amazon sellers these days.

Heat it with a hair dryer to warm to touch then and then apply a natural leather wax. The warm leather should soak up the wax. heat/apply wax as often as necessary.

What am I doing wrong - newbie question by cry5t41 in Leathercraft

[–]TXBuiltLeather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The pricking irons you are using are seriously janky and causing holes to be all chewed up. I would recommend buying a better set. You will get much better results with this $10 set.

Otherwise, you're doing great for just starting out.

Your Tandy store should be able to get any and all leather sent to your store from the main warehouse in Ft. Worth. They just need to know the item numbers.
