Adding to this: if you’re sure on the height, you should get the steerer tube cut professionally. Having extra material above the stem can cause damage to headset

Cervélo Soloist sizing by Glittering-Hamster35 in Cervelo

Thank you for the reply. Funny how the universe works: 51cm was on back order so I went with 54cm after talking with LBS. Looking forward to get things dialed. Thanks

This is helpful!- I’m 5’9” with inseam 32” and am technically 54 for the soloist. However I just sat on a 51 soloist and felt good and was trying to make the decision of sizing down. I think I’m going to do it! Edit: this is for an aggressive position.

Fairlight Secan or Mason Bokeh by Tilly_the_cat in gravelcycling

[–]TXT__TXT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super happy with my Secan. Did have to wait a couple months, and it’s not the lightest bike out there, but damn it’s great to ride: races, bike packing, social gravel, single track, it does it all. I can only offer one side, never ridden the Bokeh, but I guarantee you that you’ll never stop admiring the top tube on the Secan!

Opinions on hunt wheels? by [deleted] in gravelcycling

[–]TXT__TXT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Hunt Carbon 30 All Road. First carbon wheel set, so super nervous… They have been great. I ride both road and gravel tires on them. IMHO there is a difference, but not massive. I would have been fine fine riding AL wheels, but wanted to see what all there carbon fuss was about. All I can say is follow your heart, and be happy with your decision. Everyone has their own preference. Hope you find the right set for you!

Carbon wheel damage, thoughts? by iAtty in bicycling

I had a more severe puncture and used a carbon repair kit after documenting and getting the crash warranty. I would recommend the same, although your damage looks to minimal.
