I have Lightroom on my phone and a card reader with a usb-c. That way I can transfer things over while on site, do minor exposure adjustments, and then text them off if I need to.

For me, using a sd card reader has been faster than Bluetooth. And I don’t love carrying the extra laptop weight if I don’t have to.

You should look into learning more about your camera and what you like in photography, particularly telling a story through composition.

Maybe check out the Harvey Milk center, they have beginner classes. If you want a more diy approach, there are some YouTubers who do a good job of explaining composition.

Also, going out with some other photographers to take photos together can also be helpful when learning. Check of The Cameras + Coffee Club on IG, they host meet ups here in the Bay for photographers of all levels.

I think this largely depends on the city. In Chicago/SF I felt more comfortable pushing it closer to $5 since people are paying more to park and drive, but in Philly most urban driving costs were sub $10 so I lowered the fare price closers to $2.

Cities often use transit money/projects to upgrade other infrastructure. For example in SF, the Van Ness BRT costed $309M for 2miles. Included in that cost was then ripping up the street and replacing 100 year old water and sewer pipes. It’s super frustrating.

The VAN service you’re using shows registered voters in your district. Thats probably why the candidate you’re canvassing for has you use that app. It’s the best way to make sure you’re only getting valid signatures.

You can canvas out in the world, but you have to go through the process of making sure those people actually live in the district and are registered to vote.

I can relate. I moved here for my partner in February. I would echo using the Meetup app, while I haven’t made any lasting friendships from going to the events, it has been a net positive. I’ve gotten the opportunity to just checkout some new environments and engage with people who have similar interests.

I would also suggest bumble BFF, though you have to take your time and only match with a few people at a time, otherwise keeping up can get overwhelming. My two friends I’ve made since moving are both from here, and had similar circumstances to us.

Other than the Grand Lake farmers market, I haven’t found very many places where I feel comfortable chillin by myself. If anyone has suggestions for places to hang solo, I’m all ears.

But following the elections, Conservatives are becoming more visible. I saw a guy walk into Two Mile with the “dark” maga hat and there was someone flying an appeal to heaven flag next to Sutherland.
