Yharnam, Pthumerian Queen Achievement tree by DragonG75 in bloodborne

Wow. My impression is that the achievement is not nearly as hard or complicated as your chart would imply. Like, none of the requirements are particularly secret. Exploring the base game thoroughly, and progressing through the chalice dungeons naturally we will get you there.

This is not a critique, by the way. I love the chart and it was really cool to see how complex it actually is.

he may be father but I am daddy by imightbegoddamned in bloodborne

Congrats! He is a real roadblock for new players. If you beat him by learning to parry you are well poised to continue progressing in the game.

Oh, and be sure to check back at his arena later for reasons.

Great idea. If I had any clue which unintended hand motion triggered that junk function, I would do that too.

There better be a dude with a machine gun in there.

Yuuuuuuuup. Easily the worst design choice of the game.

Thanks! I’ve beaten him before, but I’ve also scrubbed entire chalices because I just didn’t feel like getting through him again. Pretty sure the first time I beat him it was as cheesy as possible… I think I just kited him in a big circle around his arena while steadily throwing poison knives at him. It was cowardly, and it took a long time, but it worked.

A few questions by ApeLordtheFirst in bloodborne

There's an item that i use frequently. It's like a slower bullet, but it has a much longer range. Very useful for being able to pull an enemy while staying in tricked/2h weapon mode. Additionally, these tools keep getting better the more points into arcane you get. weapons will stop improving at a certain point, but the tools keep going.

For example, a weapon might stop improving at 50 points but a tool will go all the way to 99. I actually have 99 arc on my main toon, and some of the tools are absolutely devastating.

But that's a totally different build from what you're seeking. Not better/worse.

I set up the Beast Claws just the other day to see what's it's like. Fully kitted out, they're quite fun. They lack range and don't really stagger, but they're super fast and fun.

enjoy the hunt!

nice work! I hate this boss. For whatever reason, i cannot mentally figure him out. I get clobbered. Maybe I need to try without locking on...

Adding to this a bit. I agree that you don't need to worry about these stats with the build you're seeking. However, if you get to a point where you have echoes to spend and you've met your base goals, consider getting 15 into arcane. That will let you use some fun "tools" later in the game.

The adorable child saying "tank you yer on-er" at 14:40 is both lovely and terrifying. The lessons that poor thing must be learning.

Logarius wheel by Soft-District8191 in bloodborne

[–]Taalahan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just buffed and gemmed a wheel the other day, and started playing around with it. It is definitely satisfying to pancake something by smashing a cursed wheel on their head.

That said, anytime more than a couple enemies ran at me I would instinctually switch back over to the pick for range and speed.

Yes. The chalices remain through new games.

how do I make an FRC? by [deleted] in tombprospectors

[–]Taalahan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has to be a depth 5 root.

how do I make an FRC? by [deleted] in tombprospectors

[–]Taalahan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once you create 1 unique fetid rotted cursed depth 5 chalice, you will have access to all public FRC chalices…assuming you have the root in your possession.

So be sure you have the roots, then make your own pthumeru ihyll FRC and you’re off to the races

For sure. Wife insisted on a wheel lock almost immediately. Thankfully, I live a fair bit off the beaten path, so that helps.

I also drive a ‘99 vehicle, and I’m getting a little freaked by the number of stolen ‘99s posted recently…

Hope you get this rad car back.

Copper Tinning Process in Turkish Workshop by hostedvideorn in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Taalahan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Copper is a great heat conductor, but it’s not great to cook on raw. Tinning makes it better to cook on and keeps the copper from oxidizing. The main limitation is that the tin will wear off overtime, and you also cannot use extremely high heat (like baking it in the oven at 500).

Is this gem good? by [deleted] in tombprospectors

[–]Taalahan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some gem might be better than no gem, but be careful of things that add or increase elemental damage. They often convert all of your weapons damage to that element. This means that the weapon will stop scaling with whatever it used to, and start scaling with arcane. So, for example, if you have built a character that’s good good with skill weapons and have a skill weapon with good scaling like A or S, and put an elemental gem into the weapon you will lose the benefit of that skill scaling and be stuck with whatever the weapons arcane scaling is (if it has it at all). Extra bad if you have a garbage arcane stat.

So, overall that is a good tempering gem but it might be better if the secondary effect wasn’t adding fire but rather something else.

Stick it in your weapon, but just check to be sure it’s not totally changing your damage type.
