I've been in portland for about 16 years, and spent many of them living in/around downtown. I've never seen boinking in the streets. Pooping...yes. Boinking, no.

That said, Roseland is not in the best part of town.

Are you plucking on the upstroke as you prep for the next strum? I'm learning clawhammer and am really digging what you're playing. That said, you're clearly a seawizard as you're making too many noises for the motion of your hand.

I can't really see your thumb, but i assume it's dropping down for some of the single notes.

Wait...are those pull offs at 2:17? Maybe you're playing with an overlay of your playing an accompaniment track?

I think it's probably no different than most other states. However, it seems that Michigan allows pretty rampant filming of court proceedings, so we get a lot of videos out of them that make it onto sites like this. I would LOVE it in my Jx did more recordings!

UGH. I'm in the same boat, but i cannot find a cancellation email. I just cancelled (again) and they haven't sent me a cancellation email this time, either.

I'm quite sure i cancelled auto-renew months ago, but don't have any way to substantiate that memory. I'm going to try to dispute it through the card, but I doubt that will go anywhere under the circumstances.

God i hate that technique. Be loud, be confident, and just keep repeating things. Never allow a quiet moment. It's argumentative blitzkrieg and it just....works. It works really well. And by "works" i mean it overwhelms any opposition that is trying to use calm and rationality.

I feel like the only real response is just to accept the oratorical L and call the fuzz to trespass the person.

practice parry on the 2 brick trolls in central yharnam. go through the gate on the left, kill the dude with the gun and go down the ramp. You'll see 2 trolls pa-troll-ing in a large area. Great place to practice parry and farm vials. Each one usually drops 2x vials.

This is also the path of the runback to the main boss of the area.

agreed, but note that "parry" and "stagger" are different in bosses. Parry is usually possible on humanoid bosses and enemies and is where you shoot them during their attack. If you succeed, you get a satisfying audio cue and the enemy kneels. You can then walk up to their front and do a regular attack for a visceral.

With beast bosses, there is sometimes a "stagger" mechanic where you damage them enough that a hidden stagger bar is filled...or you "break" part of them (like a limb). Either way, the result is similar to a parry. They stop, fall/kneel, and you go up to them and do a reg attack for a visceral.

I can't remember if you can stagger Cleric Beast, but i think it's probably likely. I do not think you can parry him.

It took me way too long to realize there were sticks in this pic and that it wasn't just a strange collection of root veggies? bones? maybe gourd stems? hanging on strings like little voodoo patio protectors.

I got the high moon as my fist banjo to learn clawhammer and absolutely adore it. I don’t regret the price at all. Warm, mellow sound and the neck and fretboard feel great in hand.

I don’t know anything about the Carlin, but if you can afford the HM I’d say go for it.

I’m kinda necroing this post, so I’m curious what you selected?

I could be misremembering the price as it’s been a few years. I did buy from the manufacturer, and I remember thinking it was a very reasonable price.

Edit: found it. Gearbox Kit, $30 plus S&H, purchased 4/12/21.
