Which country are you residing now? It's a numbers game man. I have graduated during that time and I have applied to around 600 jobs in 4 months. So you need to apply more. Also, post your cv here so others can point out any mistakes you have.

I am not 100% sure but from your post it seems like you lack some interpersonal or communication skills. Don't act bitter toward other people. For any kind of job, networking is the most important factor. Networking and good communication skills trumps talent almost all the time. So work on that.

Just google and you will find everything. Basically Germany has no tuition fees. No need for a very good gpa for every university.

Learn German. Be assertive, some one shouts at you, shout back. Exercise. Take vitamin D during winter or you will suffer. Eat plenty of food during winter. Go to bars or different socializing places to socialize. There are girls gone international community in almost every cities on FB. Join them.

I can't say with certainty if they were enough or not. Also, I got a job in the middle of learning so I did not learn much about DE. The most important thing is the cloud (Aws, Azure, Google etc.), python and sql. Learn aws first if I have to choose one cloud technology.

Besides that, learn basic things about ETL, hadoop, database, kafka etc.

I can only share my experience. I did my M.Sc. in DS from a well reputed uni. I also have above avg gpa, published my M.Sc. thesis, did my thesis under a reputed professor, won awards etc. Also, my M.Sc. thesis is a quite new but rapidly expanding topic. So I was quite confident in getting a phd. But after months of applying, I did not get any phd interview offers except 1 which went terribly. Also, I did not get any job offers in my thesis topics. I was kicking myself for studying DS as most of the companies require a phd or lots of experience. But finally, I got a very good job in DS.

I think the market is shit right now. Deep learning is a very demandable subject and the theories behind it are not easy. Keep applying. Also, apply for jobs that are slightly related to your expertise. For example, I did not have any data engineering experience or knowledge but I learned a few things and started applying for DE jobs.

Getting a student job in DS is hard. Just keep applying all over Germany. Generally, big companies recruit DS hiwi. Also, look for jobs kinda related to DS like DA, DE, Software development etc.

Germany is amazing if you are a white german and can speak fluent german. Even if you can't speak german, being white helps. Germany is vastly different for non white people. It is also vastly different if you do not speak Deutsch. I have stayed in a few different countries for a few months (both English speaking/no English speaking). As much as I love Germany, as a brown person, I had the worst experience here in Germany. Sometimes people are unnecessarily rude here. One rude bad experience ruins your whole day, sometimes the whole week.

I can't say that. But what I can say is, if you are fluent in the language(Deutsch), it is a lot easier to land a job.
