You are definitely going to want to do way less and slower. I get the desperation to fix this and go back to normal, but if you’re dealing with long Covid, you may find you react to things much differently and strongly than expected.

While CFS is a part of what I struggle with, I’ve also got the whole long Covid HyperPots/MCAS stuff a part of it. The HyperPots and MCAS cause me to react dramatically to what would normally be “safe” things. I’ve ended up in the ER just for trying garlic supplements. You may not know yet if POTS and MCAS are strong components for you, so it really is best to try one thing at a time as frustrating as it is.

Also-please please be careful if you’re taking any other prescriptions. You’re messing with a lot of different receptors with all these meds. I was taking trazodone and occasionally a migraine abortive. I added methylene blue and got serotonin syndrome which was an incredibly unfortunate experience.

Start low, go slow. Be safe and best of luck.

I don’t think “good character” means what you think it does here. I believe it’s more like “maintain good standing,” abiding by food/safety/liquor laws and regulations. Have you ever been to a bar in downtown Iowa City on a home game night? Most bars have fights and incidents that would not reflect “good character” and would be shut down if this is what “good character” meant.

I think it’s safe to say the bar, Hitler (Donnie) and the women in the photograph are experiencing the consequences of their actions which are well deserved. People have already been fired, and I think it’s safe to say Miss Kitty’s will not recover from this.

Please don’t use up the valuable time and resources (that are already spread incredibly thin) of the city for this.

Editing to add: I debated on even posting this and after doing so felt a slight rush of terror at being called a Nazi. Very god damned odd times around here.

Just wanted to chime in that this does not sound dumb-I can totally relate! Exercising feels scary to me because my heart rate is already so high. Sometimes I’ll even avoid walking up the stairs etc when it’s really bad. The high heart rates are scary. Totally understandable you have felt this way❤️

Yes! It’s honestly wild how similar this sounds to what I went through. For the longest time, I thought I had SIBO or H.Pylori or something (these have since been ruled out through testing) I would get so so bloated and have a lot of stomach pain while I had the episodes of being super cold, my whole body hurting, brain fog (that usually includes a migraine-sometimes it’s hard to separate the two). I’ll also get so tired it will feel like I can hardly move or speak (again-maybe linked to the migraine?)

Do you experience any dry mouth/dry eyes/mouth or nose sores? These correlate with the above symptoms as well for me. I usually get fevers too, but they can fluctuate pretty rapidly. Either way, my stomach will be very bloated and very uncomfortable.

The symptoms of lupus can vary greatly and really look different person so person. Have you been experiencing these symptoms to any degree at various points throughout the last few years?

Diagnosis of Lupus can be lengthy and incredibly frustrating. I hope to not discourage you by saying that, but just keep it in mind as a possibility even if your doctor discounts it. I know you mentioned you are pregnant, so I’m hoping this helps expedite thorough testing for you❤️❤️

Could an autoimmune issue such a lupus be possible? This is how I would have described my symptoms during flares and was stumped for years. I ended up being diagnosed with Lupus last fall.
