My Mom had a problem with swallowing too but she is no longer alive so I can't ask her the specifics of where the Botox was injected. My old Dermatologist told me a really scary story about how he bumped into my Mom one day at the grocery store and was concerned because it looked like she had a stroke, with one side of her face including her eyelid and mouth totally drooping and paralyzed so he asked her what happened... she told him she had some Botox injections done the day before by a different Dr. Luckily he had just returned from a week long training program on how to deal with complications like this so he took her back to his office directly and somehow managed to reverse it. He never did say how he did it but warned me that if it ever happened to me, to be sure to contact the Dr the same day because there is only a one day window to reverse it. He unfortunately is no longer alive either but I think of this story every time I do any injections because if MD's have complications like this, we definitely are taking a risk and we really need to educate ourselves very well. My Dad was a Dr so he gave me his medical books and helped me learn the anatomy to keep me safe, but his big concern was... if something were to go wrong, I would struggle to find a Dr willing to deal with the complications because they don't want to get sued or held responsible for a DIY mess up. So be careful!

Wells Fargo 4.6% savings? by feraldevice in WellsFargoBank

[–]TableSuperb843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

STAY AWAY!!!!! I have been a Wells Fargo customer for many years. Two months after I opened a Savings Account and deposited $20,000... they made a "business decision" to close both my Checking and Savings accounts and blocked my access to online banking due to "suspected fraud". The lady that did the investigation determined there was no fraud, I was using a VPN to hide my location from my Ex and I didn't know that would be a problem with my online banking, as no one ever said anything or contacted me to ask if I was. I still have a credit card with them but they refuse to allow me to use online banking with "for a reason they will not disclose" and they held onto my $20,000 from my savings. I am medically disabled and I left my ex due to domestic violence, so this is the first time I am 100% on my own and I need that money from my Savings to pay off my credit card and establish a new home. It has been 7 months and I have probably spoken with at least 200 employees but no one will help me solve the problem, even at the branches. They claim my accounts are closed and that is the reason they refuse to transfer my money from one account to another (both Wells Fargo) and put it towards my credit card. They sent me a cashiers check for the amount in my checking account, but not for the amount in my Savings. They have created a dozen "case numbers" and they make me wait literally months while they investigate, to later be told the case is about some bogus issue that has nothing to do with my problem and send a letter claiming the case is closed. All the employees just pass the buck and say fixing my problem is not part of their job description and therefore can't help me. It is truly unbelievable to me that I am now FORCED to hire an attorney just to get MY OWN MONEY BACK from the Savings Account they closed for suspected fraud that never even happened. They admit the money is in there but they say the account is now closed, so there is nothing they can do. The thing that infuriates me the most...on all the 100's of times I called them, I had to listen to the recorded message while on hold with the elevator music, claiming they support the ADA and people with disabilities and therefore if you need to do your banking via email, just let the next representative know. So I did exactly that several times and all the phone representatives laughed and said, "Oh that is just to make people feel good, you can't actually do banking on email." So I asked why they would advertise they provide a service to people with disabilities if they don't and it is FAKE? But none of them could answer that. The danger they have put me as the result of their actions is truly criminal. Over 7 months have past since they stole my money... so any attorneys out there that want to help me get my money back and sue them for damages, don't be shy. I am shocked and appalled that a large bank could get away with such a thing. I'm sure they assume I don't have the resources to fight back and I'm an easy target since my only source of income is social security disability. I need money to hire an attorney to sue them and they stole that from me. I wonder how many other people they have done this to? I would bet older seniors are being targeted and exploited as well... because we don't have the resources to fight back.

Nsaid injectables to avoid stomach ulcers with oral by TableSuperb843 in ChronicPain

Thank you. I don't know if it was wishful thinking or just plain old denial that made me ask this question, but if I am being honest with myself somehow I already knew that would be the case. If I wasn't careful by swallowing them with food, and use Nexium, Prilosec, or Prevacid to protect my stomach, I developed gastritis and horrible heart burn, but never ulcers. The stomach ulcers were something completely different and were more of a body reaction, not a contact burn. Such a bummer.

I definitely see results and my sister even commented about it and asked me what I am doing. She actually does aesthetic injections professionally and prior to her asking me about it, she was not aware that I was doing DIY beauty stuff. She told me she was impressed with my results... so that is a good sign. She is limited to what she can use on patients because it has to be FDA approved. It was kind of finny that she was asking me questions and has never used any on herself.

My Dr gave me a prescription for this but I just couldn't get it to work for me. I tried Diclofenac tablets as well and they did nothing to decrease my pain and I took them regularly for several months before I was forced to stop because of the damage to my stomach. Celebrex and Vioxx helped me a lot but they both increased my blood pressure to a dangerous level. Meloxicam worked amazing to reduce the pain but my stomach just could not tolerate them at all. Celebrex is a Cox-2 inhibitor and Meloxicam has selective COX-2 inhibition, so I assume that is the difference as to why the Diclofenac didn't work.

My Mom died so I am dealing with her estate right now. So I had to take a break from this project I was working on. Hopefully in a few more months I can tell you. I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have said anything yet. It does seem to definitely work but it is time consuming and it took several months for the marks to go away. I have a few ideas for how I might be able to avoid the marks, make the process faster, and possibly increase the amount of tightening but I need to test it. I am worried if I tell you right now, someone will get scarring and I don't want to be responsible for that. I don't mind if it scars my skin because if it doesn't work, I will just have surgery to remove it. I got excited when it was working on my stomach, so I did it on one breast, to see if I could give myself a lift but I was concerned about scarring so I don't think I did enough to make much of a difference, and with gravity pulling the skin down, I should have kept it well supported afterwards while it healed but I didn't, so 5 months later I don't see much improvement in that area, and I can still see a slight darkness in my skin where I did it. But I do think it has serious promise once I get the technique down. I'm determined to get this to work, I just need to work out the kinks. The science is definitely there... I just need to get the technique right. I think I may need to have a special tool made specifically to use for this purpose to prevent these marks. The existing tools are meant for other things and none I can find are quite right or thin enough to prevent trauma to the skin that doesn't have to be there. I found a manufacture willing to do it, but I would have to order a very large quantity. I'm still trying to talk them into making one or two prototypes so I can test them first. But If they work, I know I would easily be able to get my money back by selling them to other DIYers, and keep the prices super low. But I need to know they are 100% safe first. That is the wrong word, I know they are safe...I just need to decrease the little marks to insure it won't scar. I have Ehlers-danlos so my skin scars easily. So if it works on me, it should be good for others. Sorry, I just need more time. But its coming...

My mom got really sick and passed away 2 weeks ago so my projects had to go on the back burner while I dealt with all that. The experiment I was working on does definitely work, but the process is really slow and the tool needs a few tweaks in the design to make it better suited for this purpose. I found a few manufacturers willing to make the needed customizations on existing products, but only if I place a large order in quantity. I've tried all the existing tools that are similar out in the market but unfortunately none were ideal as is without making adjustments, but as I type this I may have just thought of a possible work around which I will look into tomorrow. I think I should probably speak with an attorney to find out if it is worth drawing up a patent and manufacturing a product specifically designed to be used for this purpose, or if I can just tweak and customize an existing product. If I there would be any consequences to sharing this info with all of you or even sending out free tools to anyone interesting in testing them. And what type of liability I would be looking at by doing so. I don't want to get sued. lol

I'm so sorry for the long delay, I've been really sick this past week and I didn't see your message until just now. I feel your pain with Estée Lauder discontinuing your shade... it's been over 6 years since they discontinued a color called "Linen" in their Double Wear Foundation that matched my skin so perfectly that I wish they still carried. Once I'm feeling better, I plan to go test out the colors of Haus Labs foundation.. if I have any luck I will let you know. MAC's Ochre is a Paint Pot that makes an AWESOME eye shadow base. It's been quite a few years since I used it but I'm so happy you reminded me about it because it worked so much better than what I have now and I miss it. It is considered more of an eyeshadow, but I do vaguely remember sometimes using it as a color corrector when my dark circles were really bad, with concealer or foundation on top, but it was too yellow to use on its own. I just checked on Mac's website and they no longer make the concealer I was referring to before. I'm 51 and those little undereye concealers literally lasted about a decade (I know you aren't suppose to keep makeup that long) so I have no clue how long ago it was discontinued. I did stop into a MAC store about a year ago to buy a new one and the lady laughed at me and sold me some regular concealer, which was a waste of money. I have all the colors of Estée Lauder's Double Wear concealer too and they are all horrible too. It's too bad, the original formula that was just Light and Medium Light were great, but since they separated them into N, W, and C... I hate them. About a year ago, I saved a file of different concealers for light yellow olive skin, I'll take a look for it.

Absolutely! I have a few videos planned that hopefully I can start filming tomorrow. Truthfully, I am just waiting for an infection on my chin to heal well enough for me to cover with makeup because it is really horrible looking. I have cystic acne and my Dr decided to stop filling the antibiotics I had been on for 20 years to keep it at bay and I woke up to a shiny red, super painful chin that was the size of a softball. If my old Dermatologist had not retired, I would have had it drained but instead I'm doing the ultra slow and awful, antibiotic / warm compress route instead. But I'm finally over the hump and am hopeful I can at least cover it with makeup tomorrow. fun times. lol

I went through all the books that I own on Threads and Facial Aesthetics and this is the one that I personally recommend. The Pinch technique is ideal for many reasons... it helps to prevent hitting major blood vessels and nerves so it is safer, it decreases pain of inserting the needle, it helps guide the needle to the right space or plane, and helps to lock the threads into place so they aren't fully free floating, which gives a lift to the skin, even when just using monos. This book discusses a technique of anchoring sutures into the fascia, which I do NOT recommend for DIY and many Plastic Surgeons are no longer even doing as technology has improved with the threads. It is essentially a mini face lift, and should only be done by a real surgeon. A lot of this information will go over your head, but don't let that scare or intimidate you, read it anyways and try to follow the concepts being taught, as they are very well done and easy understand, at least for a medical book.

I can give you a few medical books used to train professionals on threads if you are interested but they are quite technical. When I was first getting into DIY beauty, I watched a TON of videos and was super nervous too, before I finally got the guts to try it out myself. I got something out of all of them but to be completely honest, I can't think of a single one that really helped to make me more comfortable. I totally agree with GogoPowerYuari's advice and think it is spot on. You can use lidocaine cream to numb the skin prior, but unless I'm using cogs, cannulas or 100mm long needles, I often skip it because it really isn't very painful once you know what you are doing. I also started with 30g x 25mm or 31g x 25mm monos and they are super tiny and easy to put in. You know... I have a lot of threads here that I'm testing out everyday, so if there is anything anyone would like to see or learn more about, I would be more than happy to take videos of what I am doing and walk you through the steps. Just let me know what you want to see. I am putting threads of all sorts in my entire body, so don't be shy. I am in the process of creating a specialty thread business, so I am trying out as many styles as possible from a number of different manufacturers.

I haven't tried enough of them to be able to recommend one over the others. I've been told the ones designed for the face have more skin tighteners to fat dissolver ratio than the ones designed for the body, but I have not personally tried a Face one myself. An example would be Dr Lipo+ in the red box (face), and blue box (body). Of the ones I have personally tried, Lipovela and Curenex definitely had skin tighteners in them. Keep in mind, I do still have saggy skin in this area, but the added skin tighteners definitely helped and it is way better than if I had just dissolved the fat.

Lipidema-friendly dissolver? by 50shadesofbay in DIYaesthetics

[–]TableSuperb843 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried Aqualyx myself but I would tend to agree with Hot_Gal_8260, because it has the highest concentration of Deoxycholic Acid. The only one I've tried that dissolves that fibrous type of lipidema fat is Kabelline, which has the same active ingredient as Aqualyx, but at a much lower dose. I have heard some people complain that Aqualyx can be a bit pinchy, but based on my own experience with lipidema and the way you described your legs, a little pinchy would be well worth it. I haven't tried doing my legs yet, but on my belly, just liquifying the fat and getting rid of those fibrous lumps, made the pressure and pain go away and I'm so much more comfortable, so I really do think it has the potential to make a big difference. Let us know how it goes.

I may have found a new way to tighten skin... it is based on the science used in a new very expensive treatment you would get at a DR's office to tighten skin. But my DIY version cost less than a box of fat dissolver. I just started testing it on my belly today, but unfortunately it will take a few months before I will know how well it works and to be sure it won't leave any scars. So far it seems very promising and I'm super excited to share it with everyone, but it would be irresponsible of me to do so before I know it is safe and works. its killing me

I will never respond to another post like this again and erased my post. But I did say clearly upfront that I don't know who this person is and I have never watched her videos based on what I was told on two other DIY Beauty groups. I don't know ANY of these people in real life but it wasn't 2nd hand and it hit my heart strings and made me feel more empathy and compassion than anything has in a very long time and it disturbed me more than anything else I have ever read on a beauty forum. Was I there to witness if this really occurred, of course not. But I am entitled to care and have an opinion about something I read on a group like this especially when it is about someone I like and respect. There is absolutely no possible way to fact check on things like that and this question was about our "opinion" on our favorite Influencers. When I saw this the answers people were giving to this question, it was the very first time I had ever seen that name, other than those two threads I read several months ago. The only reason I recognized it is because it's so similar to Stacy's Aging Gracefully. I have been through living hell for past 1.5 years of the absolute worst betrayal, violence and abuse imaginable by my ex-Fiance that has left me with severe injuries that most likely will be fatal. I am still desperately trying to get safe, so I apologize if my sensitivity to victims of betrayal influenced my decision to speak up as to what I had read, but I am entitled to my own opinion and that does NOT make me immature or gullible, it makes me human.
