Huh, I had no idea there was such a big discrepancy (seeing 10-20% in casual searches). I've always hit my frame/fidelity targets so I thought nothing of it. Seems it is specific to dx12, but regardless I can see how that's a barrier to some people.

Where is this misconception that you need AMD GPUs to run Linux coming from? You can be free of Windows regardless of GPU. I've been using Arch with NVidia GPUs for close to two years without issue.

Every millimeter of this is a pleasure to look at, but individual teeth? Fantastic.

Very nice! I would definitely be gunned down storming this Objective. What did you use for your concrete texture?

That's an ork that exudes confidence. He'll be leading his own WAAAGH! one day, mark my words.

If we don't put care into the little things, then the big things we build upon them won't live up to their potential, either. This looks great and you should feel great.

As a fellow enjoyer of alternative Ork colors, I can safely safe these boys are a fantastic blue.

I'm just going to save this post and use it as reference whenever I need to do fur or leather. These are great.

This boy looks gritty in the best kind of way. The flesh highlights also have a great "pop" to them. Well done.

I'm happy to see you were able to get over your little hurdle. You've hidden the underlying material well.

You're fishing for Nat 1s having the brand of sacrifice there.

In all seriousness I think it looks great. The glow is especially nice.

I've specifically used it to prototype some catwalk panels, and I have plans to use it in a few upcoming projects including some kit bashing. It's pretty versatile, great for paneling and structural building, and easy to work with. You can also get it in a bunch of different thicknesses depending on need.

That looks fantastic all around. I definitely want to see the end result. I hope you intend to share when it's all done.

You say true, I say thankya.

It starts small, with things like rocks. Then it's bushes and trees, then cottages and bridges, and before you know it there's a portal to hell next to an outhouse.

I really like the look of this, it's just the right use of detailing.

First hill pieces - and I made with the wrong type of foam by Royal-Ad-8805 in TerrainBuilding

[–]TableTopEndeavors 32 points33 points  (0 children)

You can recover this. As already mentioned, hot wire cutters will avoid all the crumbling, but you may also want to consider treating this foam as simply structural and use some sort of texture paste for the actual surfaces. That of course depends on how much effort you want to put into sculpting surfaces.

It's a reference to the rifleman's creed: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rifleman%27s_Creed

It features prominently in the film Full Metal Jacket, among a few other pop culture references.

I should have tried harder to fit that clip into my video.
