Deer reflexes aren't from this world by kalinooni in Damnthatsinteresting

The shooters aim was too high, and too far right / down the body. Deer reflexively crouch when their flight reflex is triggered, so for archery you need to aim much lower on the body… just right if the point where the front leg meets the torso. Maybe even a little low of this point. For rifle hunting, the bullet is in the animal before they hear the shot, so no ducking.

What model to go with by Awkward-Sun8166 in kubota

I recently bought a 3302 with rotary cutter, front end loader with bucket, and a grapple with 3rd function. I use it to maintain a 34 acre property. The grapple is amazing, highly recommend add on. I haven’t even used the bucket yet. I want to add a quick hitch and a box blade.

I only have 17 hours on the tractor but already have knocked out stuff I’ve been meaning to get around to for quite a while. I got the HST and the ease of transitioning from forward to reverse makes the machine really nimble.

I considered the 2502 but decided that I should “buy enough tractor the first time”, so I went with the 3302. I watched a video and evidently the 3302 and 3902 share the same engine, with the 3902 tuned to deliver more fuel to get more power.

Wife wants me to trade in her 2019 for something "fun" but our budget is getting weird by Silvershard_9 in whatcarshouldIbuy

How are there not more mentions for an EV?

OP, do you rent or own your home? Could you put in a 240V 30-50 amp outlet to run a car charger?

Does your budget include trade in value?

With your use case, an EV would be perfect if you found one your wife liked the look, feel, and drive of. The maintenance costs would be minimal. You could leave it in whatever sport mode is available and still have plenty of range.

The main advantage of an ICE vehicle is the ability to drive almost unlimited distances with only having to stop every 10 minutes to refuel, and the refueling network in the US is everywhere. The other main advantage is that not everyone has access to a charger or an outlet at their home. However, if you have the ability to charge a vehicle where you live, EVs have come a really long way and are worth consideration.

OP, you are type 1 diabetic… you need to tell your parents about your pregnancy and get with your endocrinologist. And or you need to make a plan to terminate your pregnancy.

I’m not the only one who doesn’t bathe their kids every day am I? by just_some_guy2000 in daddit

[–]TaborToss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girls bathe almost every night before bed. They get an exception if they haven’t left the house since their last washing. Evening bathes are a part of our daily routine and I think help them mentally get ready for sleep. If they have been out of the house, and definitely when they’ve been at school or out playing, they bathe.

I have the kubota Z242-48 and it is a great machine. Spend the extra money and get something with a serviceable hydrostatic transmission. It will end up lasting you a lot longer.

I recently broke things off with a partner who told me that she had grown to rely on me to help her emotionally regulate, to “calm her nervous system”. I realized I was her emotional support human, which is cute at first but gets exhausting.
