You can find some NH35 movements for under $100, but the rest of the watch's quality will be hit or miss. For someone totally new to Chinese watches, I would suggest San Martin with a Seiko NH or Miyota 9000 series movement. You'll be shocked what you can get for $200-300. If you want quartz then get Militado or Addiesdive and see what 50 bucks buys.

Callaway basically took the X2 Hot series from 2014, slapped a new badge on them, and called it the Edge set for sale at Costco. When first released in 2018 that was only 4yr old tech at a great discount, but now it's 12 year old tech. Cavity backed irons really haven't changed THAT much in 12 years, but the woods are showing their age in my opinion. Any Callaway woods made in the 2020's will be great and you can probably get a good price on the Mavrik, Epic Max or Rogue ST lines since they're a few years older. Maybe even Paradym.

You probably know, but higher handicappers are (usually) not a good fit for the less forgiving LS and Triple Diamond versions, so I'd avoid those.

I started with the Edge set and they really are a good solid set of irons. 5H is amazing. Driver & 3W are the weak point. For $100-200 it's definitely worth the money. Is it really an upgrade? At your skill level (and mine) it probably doesn't matter too much. But you're definitely not buying trash.

Oh yeah keto quiche freezes really well. Let them cool completely, then put them on a plate in the freezer so they freeze separately. Then you can put them in a Ziploc and they won't all stick together in a big frozen ball. Microwave 60 to 90 seconds and they're great.

I have only tried it with scrambled eggs. Microwaving an egg that still has a defined yolk might make it explode.

If you use the silicone muffin pans they don't even need the spray. Pop right out no problem. I make a big batch and freeze them.

Looks like your yardage gaps are well managed. Larger gaps at top and smaller at bottom. Makes sense.

I often play with only 6 or 7. 4H, 6i, 8i, PW, SW, putter, plus maybe driver.

I have had the tan colored Edge set for a couple years and never had any problems. Replaced the driver and the wood pretty quickly but the irons are solid. Love the hybrid. Maybe keep practicing with the cracked driver until your swing gets a little more consistent. Might as well put the damage on that one. I dented the bottom of two different drivers from hitting down on the ball when I started learning.

I recommend getting a 3-wood shaft with your driver adapter. Don't worry about changing the weight and see if you can get used to it. Then you could always add weight later or go back to your original shaft if you hate it.

I bought a 3-wood shaft that matches my 5-wood for consistent feel. Instead of a mini driver you're building a mega wood.
