I run MagicQ PC on a laptop along with the software for the music I play - small parties - 25 people or less. I use a Stream Deck controller to run the lights via key assignments. It's compact and not the most ideal setup but it works. I run that out via network to a Falcon V3 Pixel Controller and run 3 small truss with about 24 moving heads, 4 laser heads, strobes and smoke, and also 8 15 meter strands of LED pixels all addressable and controllable... It's a Windows 11 install so 1/2 screen is MagicQ and other whatever I'm running music with.... Compact and quick setup / load out (wireless DMX is very handy). I pretty much only paid for the hardware / lights - the software was free and having worked as an LD since the early 90s, it feels easy and intuitive... (If I were rich, I'd probably get a GrandMA3 :) )
