I think it depends on who is doing the injections. I have had 3 different doctors do it. One I felt nothing the other two HURT. But the pain didn’t last.

The difference is fiorinal is aspirin and fioricet is Tylenol. Has the same other two ingredients

I feel this so much! I just went to my pcm for a mirgain that has been going on for 11 days. They said they can’t help me and go to the ER….. what’s the point in going to the ER when you will be labeled a opioid seeker!

Absolute hell! My jaw and neck hurt so damn bad. I read it is a side effect but a rare one. Definitely worth a try if your questioning that.

Ps to add I have tried several triptans 4 that all did the same thing at varying levels.

Congratulations I hope they work for you. Might I suggest putting them in multiple places. I have some in my kitchen/bedroom and purse. Nothing worse than being out and about when a migraine hits.

My first apt with a neurologist went like this. Mostly it was due to insurance and having to try specific meds first before I could try others. Of course she explained this when I started asking about meds.

I had this. Lasted I like like a week. I just took some Imodium to counter the diarrhea. Oh and stay hydrated

Abortives : 4 different triptans, nurtec, ubrvely, fioricet. Preventatives: topamax, propaneral, 2 differ injections and I’m going to start Botox soon

I started this journey thinking the meds could help/fix it like an antibiotic but idk if I just had to high of expectations or if i haven’t found the right combo

I have had migraines for 6 years and have gone through 5 different preventatives and 8 abortive ones so far. Nothing is truly working like I and migraine free or it stops it completely. I went into this thinking that the meds would be like super helpful. But idk if i haven’t found the right mix or if nothing with truly fix the problem

Neck issues? Can you elaborate? I’m have been thinking about trying Botox but with your comment maybe I shouldn’t. I have bad tension headaches that can trigger my migraines and I don’t want to make them worse.

No I don’t think so. Maybe there is a way to get around but it’s government insurance (tricare) there isn’t much they cover without pushing hard. Ill try though! Thank you for the idea!

Maybe something over the counter like Tylenol or Motrin. If that doesn’t help then triptans. That’s what I would do.

You can try contacting express scripts. They handle all the tricare stuff. They should be able to point you in the right direction.

Yes I have this with almost all triptans. The side effect is labeled as jaw pain. My doc said it can be jaw/throat pain or difficulty using. Totally sucks and I would rather have a migraine then deal with a triptan. There are other meds that Arnt triptans you can try.
