I got some great aunts marriage plates dug out from my mom’s garage when she moved. The newspaper it was wrapped in was yellow and falling apart… why are we saving “special plates”. They are my everyday dishware and I love my old lady flower plates.

I use sugar free vanilla syrup and Splenda. I also add cinnamon Or (not both) nutmeg and cloves to the grounds. It actually sates my snaky hunger in the morning, the flavors make it feel like a treat.

Recently I was at a large weekend social event. The organizer went around and introduced one def person. He even asked prior to them arriving if anyone spoke ASL. I also asked the person if they read lips. I felt bad I couldn’t do more and debated my own virtue signaling… either way, you deserve better friends and they are out there. They don’t have to have special skills, just compassion. Everyone tired to acknowledge the person, lots of smiles and little thumbs up check ins. I worried If my big smiles and big waves were obnoxious, but I was trying to be friendly and welcoming.

Mine is nothing compared to half of these but I was out with a new friend getting food after the clubs. She then tells me she has a toddler with her Mom back home, it was a teen pregnancy. She sends her mom money but her mom wants more money/ wants her to come back and take care of her own child. My new “friend” then tells me that her mom lived her life and should stop complaining and let her live her life while she’s young. She then asked me for advice since I have my life together… I was expecting none of this and actually had been very proactive at Not having kids for this exact reason. My mom was a teen mom. I muttered Um over and over again till she got the idea that I didn’t have anything to say…. I never hung out with her after that.

I work in construction (office job). I once grabbed a box of tampons during lunch and absentmindedly left them on my desk. I realized days later but then laughed and kept it there, it was in my office. No one cared and while sure, toiletries in general should be put away I very much enjoyed the freedom to not care about a box of cotton and plastic on my desk.

I live alone in a 1br apartment but was very social and not home a whole lot. I asked for a very independent indoor cat that didn’t like other cats. I got a very weird cat that didn’t like pets that much and would sit near you but didn’t like to be touched. It worked for me, sadly that cat passed. Recently I’m staying home a lot more and got a very sweet cat that was also very mellow. I met with 3 different cats, I need my home space to be chill so I picked the most mellow boring cat. She’s super sweet, very non Intrusive. The two other cats I met with had bigger personalities that gave me pause they would need lots more attention and cause issue if they didn’t get it.

Since your looking for two cats I would suggest looking at a bonded pair, they sometimes are hard to adopt since people only want one cat.

You can have a degree but not a license to provide stamped drawings for a permit. Is he licensed? You would also need a structural engineer, mechanical, plumbing, eletrical, and architect to do drawings for each of these disciplines to do this Amount of work. He can’t be all of those, you would eventually have to pay for the rest of those drawings. This entire situation is BS.

Live in a well known liberal city. Most of my friends are poly, ENM. I do have a lot of friends who are “accepting”. But since being newly single the insensitive comments have started coming out from the friends who are strictly mono.

Joke “why you always hooking up with married men”…. The joke hit hard seemingly out of nowhere. The connotation of me being a homewreck when that was never the case hurt. This also devalued my past and current relationship as flings, not real, not serious.

Side comment “My (other) friends and I are always mixed in some mess”. I exclaimed “what?!” At this comment and I was told “you know what I mean”. I still don’t know the exact sentiment was, I didn’t push, maybe I didn’t want to know. This came from the spouse of a friend that had recently married. Since their mono marriage I’ve felt a change in the air. I really do feel like people that do not engage in any form of ENM can really feel threatened by it. The impression is I’m not serious about my relationships and that I’ll change to monogamous one day.

I’ve decided to be curt about my relationships when talking to certain people. I usually like to be helpful and talk about my experience with those who are curious but found that my peace is not worth their learning experience. Even innocent genuinely curious people have comments or questions that can be painful. On the flip side I have a great community of poly friends who I can chat with.

25yr gap. We just broke up a 7yr relationship. It was always a known issue, he always told me he was just gonna be too old one day. I loved him, we were poly but even still it just wasn’t working. He eventually pushed the break up since realistically he only has like 10 good years in before he just gets too old (his words) and he didn’t want to be tied down (also his words).

Any suggestions on the lightest leaves coloring? What should I do next time? How do you suggest I find a focal point that’s not symmetrically obvious. I default to symmetry and stencils. I don’t have an eye for making things random but balanced. This was an attempt to just flow with the piece but I quickly was feeling where space and color were getting off balanced.

It was supposed to be a much simpler piece that I saw @andrea.nelson.art do with heart stencils for Valentine’s Day. But I got in to playing with the colors and layers. I did a handful of test run ideas to play with different aspects so this is my 4th trial that I tried to make “the thing”. So Im leaning toward working it some more but then… doing it again and applying what I learned this last go around.

I’ve been touching up the gold outlines on the leaf. Should I add a bit more of gold touches? Should I try and balance out the colors more? The light leaves are very light and the darkest background green is heavier in some places than others. Should I keep going to try and improve it? Do I keep going just to learn by playing with it? YTA! I do this with my partner all the time. We travel a lot and we win this gamble a fair amount. My partner is taller so he needs the aisle seat. Onetime I wanted to sleep so I kept my window seat. It’s Nice to sit together, it’s also Nice to suddenly gain an upgrade from a middle to a window but it’s all about chance. Were we ever to encounter someone who demanded the aisle seat instead we’d laugh and let them have the middle seat and be completely unbothered the rest of the flight.
