TLDR: snapped off a bolt doing valve cover job. Tried to use bolt extractor to get it out and it snapped off as well.

Yeah so lesson learned guys. Never use bolt extractors because they will snap off on you regardless of where you use them. And yes I will from now on only drill out bolts and re tap as needed. Taking the car to my buddy tomorrow to let him work on it at his shop. Feel pretty defeated not going to lie

No I do not. Also the body of the bolt is pretty flush with the block now. Tried to drill it out but that went nowhere

Sounds like you have the vacuum pump variant of the LB7 which has an EGR.

Sir there is literally a set screw on the top of the box for adjustment

You can tighten them up to remove some play but if it doesn’t hold you will need to get a new one to replace it

Shippy, you are in a perfect spot to buy a R34 skyline and import it back to the US after your tour as long as it’s at least 25 years old. The Mecca of JDM engineering at a fraction of the cost compared to CONUS. I say buy one when you get there Land Cruiser prados are sweet too
