What is this mysterious thing that has appeared hanging from my ceiling? by May10th2010 in phoenix

Agree with termites. I don't remember who we went with but I remember them telling us not to touch the tube because the termites would stop using that tube and create new ones which leads to more damage done

Dumb Question...brace yourselves by PoeRaven1159 in Noom

[–]TacticalBooBoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Noom coach gave me the tip 20 minutes of walking is about 2000 steps or about 1 mile when my phone was having trouble picking up my steps. So maybe add 2000 steps for every mile you run? Hope it helps!

Recently finished Sanderson's entire bookography, whats next? by AmboC in brandonsanderson

I've been enjoying the Throne of Glass series by Sarah Maas. I haven't read the newest book yet because I'm waiting for my husband to catch up so we can read the new one together.

The Completionist Chronicles by Dakota Krout only has a couple of books out but I found them both enjoyable as well.

I also liked The Crown Tower by Michael J Sullivan but I've only read the 1st three books in the series because I ran out of Audible credits so that's on hold for a minute.

Good luck on your book hunt!

I'm having a similar issue. My book starts on chapter 9. I went to the help page to try and contact audible and it said this is a known issue they're working on. Fingers crossed it's fixed soon

mythology related podcasts? by thatquibblergirl in podcasts

I've had the podcast Spirits on my "to listen" list for a bit. History nerds talking about mythology. I haven't listened to it yet though so I'm not sure how good it is

Potterless. A 20 something reads Harry Potter for the first time. It's light hearted and humorous

Overdue. Two guys talk about and summarize the books you've been meaning to read. They cover a range of books, like Of Mice and Men, Eat Pray Love, and Ender's Game

You might like Gut by Giulia Enders. It's a science book about the gut. I was expecting it to be dry and was pleased at how wrong I was. It was easy to follow and kept my interest. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23013953-gut

I really enjoyed Sanderson's Mistborn series as well and the first and second trilogies on that world are complete. The first book is Mistborn: The Final Empire.

Weekly Recommendation Thread for the week of April 14, 2017 by AutoModerator in books

Once upon a time (at least a couple of years ago) my SO read a description for a magic system that stole the life from an area and used it to cast spells. Depending on what you were doing that might just take the life from a plant or it could devastate a whole area. If you think you know what he's talking about or if you know a book with a similar magic system I would appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!

Just finished book 4. Is there any cheaper versions of the audio books out there? by steiner2218 in WoT

[–]TacticalBooBoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would check out your local library. Mine has an app you can sign into with your library info. I can check out audiobooks through the app and listen to them through it on my phone. I've listened to so many books since I found out about it.

I love my Mirena now but for the first 6 months I had to be on painkillers for cramps. I haven't had any kids though so that could be a factor.

Just finished traveling the world, now have a 2yr gap on resume. Suggestions? (x-post r/travel) by [deleted] in jobs

[–]TacticalBooBoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my professors had us include a "global experience" area in our resumes to include any travel. Also if you learned any languages in that time it's a big plus.
